Ok...
1. Anything you're obsessed with should probably be stopped and looked at from a distance for a while...
2. I don't think we should stop anime distrobution or anime watching or protest anime or anything like that in the US.
3. As I watch so little of it anymore, I see no reason to "stop watching anime." Maybe when I get TV again, and it's on all the time, I may start watching it every day, but then again I may not... I have little interest in the Adult Swim lineup usually, and I may boycott G4 just for the fact they destroyed TechTV, which was actually a good network, so I'll pretty much be in the same position I'm in now...
4. As for this "new toy" business... I suppose the people who just get into anime for the sake of something different will grow tired of it... So yeah, when people go into it for an immature reason, they may grow out of it. When people accept it as a viable form of storytelling, then they may just become like me, watching it occasionally but never ceasing to enjoy it.
