I happen to really like Anime

Postby JezusBoy » Sat Aug 27, 2005 2:42 pm

When I was younger I saw two Christian Animes Flying House and SuperBook. I fell in love with those series. Then when I was about ten I was sick and at home so I was flippin thru the TV Channels. I stopped at this one cartoon. It looked so different and it reminded me of something, Flying House and SuperBook. Pokemon. I was watching it. It was so cooky and the art was so cool. So I was into that and Digimon for a while. Then When I was about 13 I found out their was actually more kinds of Cartoons like that and the style was called "Anime". I was shocked. I started watching G-Gundam, and Rurouni Kenshin, a couple episodes of .hack then .hack//sign the cutesy version. That decided it I was in love. I started Drawing then found a friend who liked it too. I've been made fun of for alot of my life but I had Anime and Anime buddies (closer than blood in most cases). All Im sayin is I'm glad we have Anime and sites like this. It makes life a bit more fun. :)

Always in God,
JezusBoy<><

ps-Sorry if this is a bit corny or overdone

Ok...

1. Anything you're obsessed with should probably be stopped and looked at from a distance for a while...

2. I don't think we should stop anime distrobution or anime watching or protest anime or anything like that in the US.

3. As I watch so little of it anymore, I see no reason to "stop watching anime." Maybe when I get TV again, and it's on all the time, I may start watching it every day, but then again I may not... I have little interest in the Adult Swim lineup usually, and I may boycott G4 just for the fact they destroyed TechTV, which was actually a good network, so I'll pretty much be in the same position I'm in now...

4. As for this "new toy" business... I suppose the people who just get into anime for the sake of something different will grow tired of it... So yeah, when people go into it for an immature reason, they may grow out of it. When people accept it as a viable form of storytelling, then they may just become like me, watching it occasionally but never ceasing to enjoy it.

The Letter from God Dear child, Despite your silence, I have heard your soul weeping. Why have you been so unhappy? Have you forgotten my everlasting love for you? Child, you are mine. Why have you not called my name sooner? If you seek me, I will answer. I am your counselor, ready to instruct you and show you which path to take. When you come to me, I will embrace you and silence all your fears. Just remember that I am here to hold you close and dry your tears. I will always be right beside you. Not only am I your father, but your best friend. Do not be afraid to ask for my mercy and forgiveness. I know that its hard to live on earth, so I understand when you fall down once in awhile, ask me for help, and I will pick you up and carry you. No one loves you more than I do. When you feel alone, remember I am beside you. When you feel helpless, remember I offer myself to you. When you feel lost, remember I will lead you, and when you feel forgotten, remember that you are my child and I will love you unconditionally. It is never too late to come home. I will be here waiting, ready to embrace you. I will leave the light on for you. Forever with you, God

You don't have to be addicted to or obsessed with anime to be a fan of it. I'm a fan of a lot of things, but none of them rule my life. They're just fun, somewhat unique hobbies.

I think the last time I watched anime was.....about the 3rd week of August? I bought the second volume of Azumanga Daioh and watched that.

However, I did flip through my old Clover volumes yesterday, and I'm going to have to watch something tomorrow for a class assignment.
