problem with the internet

hey, guys. I just bought an iBook! Yay! but there's a problem, I can't seem to get the internet, i'm currently trying to hook it up to my router and stuff but it won't work here are the things that I have:
Linksys Cable Modem
Netgear 108 Mbps Wireless Firewall Router WGT624 v2
Comcast Cable Internet
Please tell me what I must find or do thanx.

Does your iBook have wireless networking? If not, you'll need an ethernet cable.

and do you have an airport extreme card? *under the keyboard*

also check to see if your network is encrypted of any sort (like WEP)

Be more specific about won't work. If you have an AirPort Extreme card (most of the new iBooks do, including the one I have), is AirPort enabled in System Preferences? Is it picking up the right SSID?
