Howdyz, Folks!

My name's Paul Nihart. I'm just an artist lookin' for a good Christian atmosphere to where I could share my faith with others and my dreams for the future. Every Christian needs to be looking for God to reveal to them their ultimate purpose. I am looking for that. I hope everyone else is. I posted some of my work in the Character Design section. Hope you enjoy it! I hope to get to know some of y'all well!
Christians want to blame the bad people in the world for the way things are, but it is us Christians who are at fault. The Bible says that the world would be wicked. But it is our job to be a witness of Christ and to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We Christians of the Post-Modern Era will one day be in for a rude awakening... for we have backslidden from our convictions and God's will. There is a war out there. Not the war in Iraq. But a war for the souls of man!

YO. Welcome! *shakes Onesiphorus' hand*
Yup, I am definitely seeking God's will for my life. Well, see you around the boards.

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody! Anyway, do any of you have a special interest in biblical prophecy?

I listen to this one guy on the radio sometimes who talks about end time prophecy. Well, okay, so I don't really have a special interest in it. It's kinda funny--this morning my pastor was emphasizing that Jesus was coming soon.

SSJ,

Yeah, I hear ya. My preacher preaches on it every Sunday. Believe me, He is coming again soon. From all the research I have done on prophecy and on the signs of the times, give the world 30 years at the least. By the way ever heard of a preacher by the name of Dr. Kent Hovind? If not, I HAVE to show you his stuff. He is a Creationist (believes that the entire story of the biblical creation is literally true). Believe me, evolution is a lie meant to take God out of the world's picture.
That man has completely restored my faith! I insist you watch some of his seminars and debates on his website. Do you believe the creation story as litterally true?

hmmm, hi and welcome, Onesiphorous!

I think I should tell you that the admin. here frowns upon discussions which may have the possibility of growing into a debate. If someone doesn't agree with you there could be problems. I myself, feel there are many views on the end times and Bible prophecy, so already you could run into some problems.

So, I will just warn you. I am glad you are very involved in your beliefs, but please remember that this is not a preaching podium, it is a place of fellowship to others who enjoy anime and love the Lord. ^____^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Yes -- we've had very unpleasant threads on a great many theological topics (and creationism vs. evolutionism was one of the foremost). Because our primary interest is anime and manga appropriate to the Christian viewer, we discourage theological threads as there are other boards for them and it is impossible to police them adequately (just not enough moderators).

Thanks for your understanding.

Nevertheless, as I said before, it's a pleasure to have you here!

Ack, that stinks...

That means I'll have to cut out about 99% of myself out (My inward Born again Christian self) and come foward with my shallow outward shell...
Oh well. I'll respect your wishes...

Yet this was the reason I came here, to spiritually grow. Yet, everywhere I turn, I find just about all other Christians afraid of debate. You will never grow strong in faith without it. Think about it...

Sorry for sounding aggrivated. Please forgive me. Just looking for Christian relationships that are real.

I usually go to the Word of God and in prayer for spiritual growth. However, the body is for uplifting and encouraging in our walk. In the body we have fellowship, which when amidst those wiser than ourselves we can sometimes grow. You will ONLY grow however in your own personal time with the Lord, when you are still and you listen to His voice. When the Spirit guides you through His Word and speaks to your heart.

Well, if you want debate there is the TheologyWeb.com, or something - there is a link just above at the top right corner.:) Is it that they are afraid of debate or that they understand that is not what we are here for? Christ never went around debating, all He did was confidently speak the truth. However, you have no special Word of the Lord that is not available to us already by God in His Word. So, if you want to talk via pm with me I would be happy to talk to you.

Thank you, this shows much maturity, that you will respect the Admin's wishes. I'm sorry that your whole self is in end time prophecy rather than in the loving grace of Christ. For each of your days should be in search of knowing Him more and more. He will come when He comes, and His time was not given so that we are not spending our days looking to the skies, rather we spend our days in moving forward, walking in Him, and growing closer to Him in our quiet times.

I hope you are not offended, I just had to clear some stuff up that I was thinking after I read what you wrote. ^____^

Welcome! :)

Although this isn't a good place to find a debate (unless you want to do it through PMs), it is a great place to talk with other Christians if you like anime, movies, music, or videogames.

I agree with you that there needs to be a revival of the mind (so to speak) in much of the Christian world; however a lot of the members on this site are young and inexperienced with such things, so you wouldn't really be receiving an adequate test of your beliefs. For that, I recommend TheologyWeb.

Chloe,

Sorry if I sounded cold. Prophecy is a big interest of mines, but I didn't mean it was the only thing in my life. I hope I didn't make it sound that way. I am born again through faith in what Jesus Christ did for me 2000 years ago and it is the only reason I continue. Prophecy just happens to be my favorite subject. I realize that the loving kindness of Jesus Christ is the only thing that will save this world. I realize we must also have our own personal walk with the Lord. But when there are things like evolution or things of the sort that restrict the growth of a Christian by creating doubt, they must be tackled head on and debated. God has the answers for these things in His Word. Just to make a point, prophecies about the future are a large portion of the Bible and cannot be ignored. My faith in God has increased many times fold from what he has personally brought forward to me and I just wanted to share the many things I found. Agh, I'm gonna go in circles. Sorry to make it sound like it was the only thing in my life. Christ is what keeps me going. Without him, life would not be worth continuing for there would be no purpose. I don't want y'all to think I'm trying to be a troublemaker. I'd like to talk about these maybe one day in another area with you when we get the time. Sorry for the ruckus. :hits_self

Welcome, glad to have you with us.

If you truly seek debate, I would suggest that you do so via PM. There are quite a few members of this site who would be happy to oblige you, but in the proper forum for such: personal messages. We, as has already been stated, do not approve of arguments or debates on these boards (at least on subjects unrelated to our purpose).

Aside, I would like to thank you for not causing trouble on this issue. It is very much appreciated.

Now to answer your questions.

I relate to Biblical prophecy only as it relates to my life; that is, as some of my siblings in Christ are involved with it and I believe that all Christians should at least consider the subject, as it does have a presence in the Bible. Myself, I feel my convictions lead me elsewhere; God and I know I'm not the type for edification.

As for the subject of evolution... five years ago, I would have taken you up on the offer of discussion. Sadly, I can no longer keep up with current scientific findings on the subject, and would not wish to speak on a topic about which I know too little.
