Concerning CCS Merchandise....

Postby Destroyer2000 » Sat Jun 19, 2004 7:39 pm

Someone I know wants to buy a CCS thing they have out...it's a Book of Clow with all the Clow Cards in it. He wants me to ask you all would it be wrong to buy it or not. So, what?

If you mean wrong concerning Christianity...I'd say pray about it first, cuz God always knows what's best; you never know what may harm you.

But I must say IMO, why really waste your money on something that doesn't do anything? I myself wouldn't buy it...I'd save up for something else, but it's ultimately your friend's choice.
I'm back to make a post or two every couple years...

Well, he wants it because he's a HUGE fan of CCS. He wants EVERYTHING concerning CCS...I told him it was a bit much, and would be hard to get, but oh well. The Clow Cards are Tarot Cards aren't they? He wanted to know if it would be wrong to buy the book of them. It's a fan thing, and he doesn't actually want to use them. I don't think he could, anyway, but...

I actually own the cards myself. ^_^ They're not really Tarot cards, although in the series, she does use them once in a pattern kind of way to get clues to figure out the identity of another card, and what it's doing. So, really, it's a matter of personal opinion, I think.

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.

Oh! I've seen those before. They look so cute! ... But "Master Kenzo" was right, they're just toys and don't really do anything... here they are a bit expensive (I don't remember the price though. T - T) Because they are sent directly from Japan.

They're about 16 bucks down here. I was there with my friend when he saw them.

I agree that they aren't tarot cards but would argue the personal opinion thing... some things are relative but what something "is" is not one of them. I do agree with your point though. They are not a threat.
Also I add:

Clamps art is one of my favorites, seeing the clow cards in normal size would just rock to me. As all the cards have unique art on them. I wish had set CCS as one of my focuses, but my focus is .hack so I'll stick that direction... :)
