Them Academic Pressures

Postby Agloval » Sat Dec 10, 2011 3:38 pm

So I haven't posted as much recently because I haven't watched as much anime, and that's because I've been studying.

I've been given funding for a masters at one of the best places, if not the best place, for my subject in the world. Which is amazing, and cause for lots of praise and thanks. But also, as you can probably imagine, a fair amount of pressure.

I'm writing a fairly monstrous essay right now, which will play a significant role in determining whether I'm awarded any money to stay on for another three years and hammer out a PhD.

I would really like for the essay to go well, and for a bunch of practical things to work out. But probably what's most important is maintaining a good state of mind, and a good attitude towards God's sovereignty over what happens in my life, good or bad. So, well, I would welcome prayer for that.

Thank you!

I'll pray! ^^

And I also hope that the Lord's will be done. And in your walk with him through all things, he will guide you and give you strength and wisdom.

Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through him who strengthens me."

James 1:5
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him."

Deuteronomy 31:6
"Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.â€
Luke 10:25-27 Mark 12:28-34 Matthew 22 Deuteronomy 6:4-5 Deuteronomy 10:12
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”

No one is perfect, but by one prayer at a time, and one step at a time, God can make our paths straight.
Proverbs 3:6 "In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight."

Thanks guys.

I got the essay in on time, though I'm fairly convinced it wasn't very good. But writing it taught me a lot.
