I wouldn't mind a movie, although I'm not sure how it would work. Wouldn't it have to be an alternate timeline? The ending of the anime didn't exactly leave much room for a sequel kind of story.

That would be the most likely scenario, yes.

I think not too long ago, I would've been more skeptical, but I just finished the Macross F movies last week, and those are a fantastic alternate retelling (much better than the equivalent Gurren Lagann movies imo).

EDIT: looks like it's real

There will be a Film Trilogy of 3 Movies!! Two will just be compilation of the television series and One will be a completely new production.

Wait a minute....this reminds me of another Anime Series that had two films that were a compilation of the television series and then a new production.

The official annoucement of what Neane mentioned.

This is ridiculous. It was good, but I don't think anything is THIS good.

Here is more info on the Newtype Issue that caused all of this.

The completely new work is a story that is suitable for a feature film. It will be a story that would be even more interesting if you know the TV series.

Call it weird but I think I know what the movie might incorporate *coughcoughOrikoMagicacoughcough*. That's the only thing I can see room for in the series, if not a prequel taking place further back in time.

...or I could be totally wrong.

I agree, that might be what the Completely New Movie is going to be about. But the First Name, I heard, for one of the New Movies was supposed to be:
Urobuchi had already pretty much finished the final draft for the new film, and production is proceeding next. According to Shinbo, the subtitle of the new film is still undecided, but he really wanted to call it "Incubator no Gyakushū]
That should tell us about something they have planned.

My personal thoughts are that one of the Movies is going to be:

Puella Magi Madoka Magica: The End of Madoka

It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling down...

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised it the ending changed from what we saw in the anime to that. In any case, I wonder if it will be the same Kyubey or if it will take place after or before the series.

And if we're being trolled again. Gen Urobuchi's that kind of guy.

really don;t like Madoka and Sayaka's voices in that trailer. But Mami sounds pretty good, and Kyubei sounds like Julie Maddalena! Homura's good too.

Did they? I have always put the emphasis on the first syllable as well. Then again, I also never say "Magica" with a hard gee (as in green), which I have heard is the technically correct pronunciation (ANNCast 12/9/2011).

Any documentation on the pronunciation of "Madoka"?

Wow that's really great for a fandub.

For pronunciation of Madoka, you could just watch the show again and listen for it (KANAME MADOKA Image KANAME MADOKA, etc.).

Magica is indeed intended to be pronounced with a hard g, since they use a ギ in マギカ as opposed to ジ.

None. Though I could very well not be hearing the characters right when I listen to them- I have hearing issues, so thought I heard emphasis on the second sylable.

My thoughts:

Not a single one of those characters sounded even halfway decent.
Also, who's getting LE and who's getting the normal editions?

The LE is pricey, but I would get it. At least it contains the Blu-Ray and DVD discs, so I don't think the price is that high.

No, it is a reasonable price considering everything it has in it. I just don't have a whole lot of money considering it isn't the full season. :(
