I just found out I actually have the channel this is on so I'm totally watching the newest episode today, it's on at 1:30, even though I've still only seen the first two episodes. I'm so lazy. Maybe this will motivate me.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I don't have the channel this is on, but I found a Justin TV link that'll be showing it live, so in about 15 minutes, I'll be watchin' PONIES! Then no more ponies for a few months, which is sad. D:

EDIT: Gonna throw up a fan music link. Someone made this original song inspired by Luna. This fanbase is awesome!

So we marathoned the entire show, minus most of the cutey mark crusaders episodes tonight, and finished with cupcakes and Ep 26.

Rock on.

If Fluttershy wasn't your favorite pony before episode 26 she should be after it.

BEST...SEASON FINALE...EVER!!!!!!
This was awesome!!! It was everything that a season finale needs to be. Very few animated shows actually have real finales nowadays. Most of them just end. It was nice to see a show end its season with an epic episode that had all the bells and whistles. I loved the musical number at the beginning! That was defiantly my favorite song out of the show. Fun fact: the galla song is inspired by the song "Ever After" from the play Into The Woods
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfxWafxHu4g&feature=channel_video_title
Into The Woods was directed by Stephen Sondheim. He also directed Sunday in the Park with George which had the song "Putting it Together" which was the inspiration for the MLP song "Art of the Dress". Lauren Faust must really like his plays.
I loved Fluttershy's crazy moments that was great. "YOU WILL ALL LOVE ME!!!!" XD
Such a great show. I can't believe we have to wait till December for the new season. :(

*DEEEEEP INTAKE* *Channels the voice of Pinkie*

omgicantbelievethisshowitsthebestamericancartoonshavetoofferthisyearand

and, and, and...

And I just finished it.

BAWWWWWW-HU-HU-HU-HWAAA I WANT THE PONIES BAAAACK... *sniffle*

OK, but srsly folks... love this show. MAD props to animetedskier for telling me about it. CAN'T WAIT for next season! I hope they also find the time to make a movie, perhaps. *Applejack voice* Shoot, with a fanbase this big, they could put it in theaters and bring in quite a profit! (For the Apple family, of course, heh.) *Rainbow Dash voice* YEAH, AND IT COULD BE TOTALLY AWESOME!

Honestly, I cannot pick ONE favorite (like several people on this thread...) ...and I can't really prioritize them either. Each one of them is just SO well-written. And on that note, no real favorite episode either. They're all good.
That pre-Gala music number was FANTASTIC! I'll bet it was quite tedious for the animators though...
IN conclusion for THIS post... best thing ever to come out of American cartoons in awhile (perhaps since Nictkoons backed and aired the Avatar series), definitely since Cartoon Network's rough roads for the past...7-10 years. And in an increasingly edgy age in general (at least from my perceptions) of cartoon media, this [S]cute[/S] OVERWHELMINGLY CUTE-TASTIC spot is very much needed.

Also, heaps of thanks to Nate for starting this thread. If he hadn't... I don't know where us periphery-demographic people would end up on this site for this new fandom.

THIS WAS THE BEST SEASON FINALE EVER!!!! I agree with you guys!
I love this episode the best! It reminds me of the earlier episodes when the ponies mention about their dreams at the gala. But I guess the gala didn't go to well as expected.
It was like a Cinderella tale.
This series is a improvement of cartoons nowadays. I'm looking forward to the next season.

Actually, I do have a favorite pony... just a really obscure one.

Its the team of 4 horses pulling the train in "Over A Barrel". Why THEY'RE pulling the train instead of driving it would be beyond me in any other cartooniverse, but this is MLP we're talkin' here. They can do pretty much anything and everything. Heh. But I loved that those horses came complete with engineer hats.

Why? Because I'm a railfan. Lol. See avatar to left.

Haha, my dad just experienced the Tokyo train system for the first time when he came to visit me and he loved it! I think you guys would get along, lol. XD

Fluttershy is my favorite, followed closely by Rarity.

I actually don't like Rainbow Dash very much sometimes, especially in the first couple of Rainbow-centric episodes. She grates on my nerves occasionally. But dude, can you imagine how fun it would be to be the voice actress who plays her and Applejack, especially in the episode where they're racing against each other? That's bording on Gollum territory. XD

Speaking of which, if Gollum was a pony, what would his cutie mark be? O_O

Discuss.

It would be THE PRECIOUS, obviously. At least in my book its that obvious... eheh.

Wait until you get to the Dog And Pony Show episode. Not only is it hilarious, it also has a hint of Gollum in it.

Rarity: Perfectly fine with having her butt slapped, not okay with being called a mule.

Rarity has actually moved up a bit on my list of favorite ponies, mostly because of fan videos though.

It's hard to pick a favorite episode at the moment, simply because the newer episodes are fresher in my mind and I've seen the older ones so many times, that it's hard to rate them fairly. I'd go so far as to say that my favorite episode is probably Cutie Mark Chronicles, but it's not a lock or anything.

I like all of the ponies because of their unique personalities, but my favorite is Fluttershy.
She is soo sweet and kind. But hey, she sure can defend herself. I can relate mostly to her due in personality terms than Twilight.
I like Twilight Sparkle as Fluttershy, but she can be too smart and "know-it-all" sometimes.
Rainbowdash is the coolest, but can be a bit rude.
PinkiePie is wayy fun and happy, although she can be randomly wondering.
Rarity and Applejack are fine for me.

I hope I can get a figure of Fluttershy or Twilight Sparkle mostly(Or mabye RainbowDash... :/ ).

Would you get a figure/toy of your favorite pony?

Not sure about figures... but a kids' coloring book or two would be nice! I recently bought a 120 box of Crayolas (thanks to a friend's FB thread about the making of crayons giving me such an urge to have some that I just... well I went out and bought them). I've been looking for something totally kid-related to use them on and... MLP coloring books just might be the right opportunity.

Purchasing said crayons also gave me a huge idea that turned into a dream, to start a school supplies non-profit organization... but that's another story/thread topic entirely. Eheh.

Found a pic of my fave obscure character!

I'd get a figure of Spike, but I've seen the ponys in stores and they don't really resemble their cartoon versions much. In fact, Rainbow Dash looks REALLY girly.. :/

Yeah, honestly the toys out now are...pretty awful. If they had higher quality toys, that more resembled the show versions, I'd buy them right up. As it stands, I just can't spend good money on poor product.

It's partially Hasbro's fault, partially the retailers' faults...I think Hasbro is aware there is a demand for show-accurate toys, but the problem is if it would be financially worthwhile for them to make it happen.

There still may be a possibility of show accurate toys coming since the show has become pretty popular, but they may not have greenlit production for them until the show started taking off, which would mean probably... around the second season starting would be the most likely time for them to show up? (totally guessing here)

GAH!!!

Further research (read: Amazon) reveals that Hasbro is not just behind on show-accurate toys for MLP:FiM, they're also WAY behind on general merchandise for it! I look for a coloring book, and all I get in results is stuff from the older incarnations...

Dangit. Someone needs to petition Hasbro's marketing department to get back in the game on this.

Or maybe its just that... this is what happens with all shows when they start out? I guess animetedskier's logic about testing the waters would work well here... hmm...

And I guess I can always scour dA for linearts of the ponies to print out and color... heh.

Yeah, I saw the newer toys based on MLP:FiM and they look just like the older MLP original toys from the 80's. I can agree that they look kinda odd and girly just like the original >_>. (Although I like the ponies before MLP:FiM because I like horses generally)
But believe me, McDonalds used to give the MLP:FiM toys as Happy Meal toys like 2 months ago and honestly those toys look worse than the Hasbro ones.
Thanks guys. I starting to change my mind about getting a figure.(That's saving for me! Heheheh ^_^;)

For coloring, for now you could download and print out these here:
http://www.hasbro.com/mylittlepony/en_US/play/browse/My-Little-Pony/_/N-1sZ6zZgt/No-20
I do like coloring things too! ^_^ It brings me back to my childhood :)
Thanks for mentioning it, I feel like coloring things again! :D

Anywho, have you guys take the official personality test of what pony you are like?
It's way girly, but you could give it a try.
I got Twilight Sparkle! It's close enough about me!

There actually is a coloring book, though.
http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/05/pony-coloring-book.html

I still say Twilight Sparkle is my favorite with Rarity being a close second.
I really hope we get a DVD pack of the first season soon. If they do we should all buy it to show our support.
I would say that my favorite episode is the season finale "The Best Night Ever" but I feel like that is an unfair comparison. So I would have to go with either "A Dog and Pony Show" or "The Cutie Mark Chronicles" as my favorite. Not sure which though.

For those of you who are coloring the Hasbro pages (including UniqueAngelStar and myself, so far), I have coloring guides available for you all, if you like. Currently I've only gotten through 3 of the 6 mane characters... and its a lot of fun. Stress-reducing too.

So, PM me if you want said coloring guides. You might have to go out to Target or someplace and get yourself a 120-Box of Crayolas though (and that's only $6.00!)

I saw the finale and loved it. It stinks there won't be any more until December, but I guess I should be glad I came into the show late, since I'm still watching old episodes.
