The "Song You Have On Endless Repeat" Thread

Postby Maledicte » Thu Jan 08, 2009 10:31 am

A bit different from the "Song that is Stuck In your Head" thread, this thread is for songs that you willingly play over and over. Keep hitting the "back" button on your CD/MP3/media player? This usually happens to me when I get some new music or a song I haven't heard in a while that I suddenly realize is brilliant.

That said, the song I keep playing over and over is "Toxic" by Britney Spears. I offer no explanation or excuse. I just like the song.

Right now...I don't actually have a song I'm obsessed with, but I keep listening to the same playlist of songs over and over. Does that count? XD

Recently it's been the tracks "Slave Children's Crusade" and "Mine Cart Chase" from John Williams' "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" OST, but I listen to Frank Zappa's album "Hot Rats" all the time, over and over, it's just such a great album.
"To be a good listener, you must acquire a musical culture...you must be familiar with the history and development of music, you must listen...to receive music you have to open your ears and wait for the music, you must believe that it is something you need ...to listen is an effort, and just to hear has no merit. A duck hears also." - Igor Stravinsky

I probably listened to Breaking Benjamin's "Diary of Jane" seven times in a row yesterday. Both the normal version and the acoustic version.

I can attest to this via both my iTunes most-played-list and because there was a time when I was just listening to it over and over.

My repeat song? "El Scorcho" by Weezer.

How funny. My current song on repeat is "Whisper and a Clamor" by Anberlin.

"Elizabeth" by Trading Yesterday and "Flying By Faith" by Vic Mignogna. They sound almost exactly the same! :wow!:

That is a great song my friend. Staple is so freakin' awesome. To bad they broke up...I'm kinda wondering what happened to the new project "The Hand That Feeds" that the lead singer was starting...I haven't heard anything about it in a while now.

I Don't Love You-My Chemical Romance.
I listen to that song like three times a day. Not too fond of the band, but for some reason I LOVE THAT SONG.

Oh, it used to be I'm So Sick by Flyleaf. I LOVED THE SCREAMING. It's my most-played song on my ipod, having been played over 100 times. LOL.
