Darker than BLACK

I new series that I was wondering a bit about is called Darker than BLACK. I know about the plot, cast, etc. But I was a bit concerned at the TV-MA rating for the first US release volume. Is this just for violence or for more? Anyone here like this series?

Love this series. It's definitely quite violent in the first 1/3-1/2 of the series-- blood and guts and limb yuckiness. Nearer to the end, it definitely goes pretty tame, to PG-13. I'm extremely queasy on violence so maybe I'm just a weakling though. There isn't really any sexuality or anything, at least that I can remember.

I watched the whole thing despite the violence, so I at least thought it was definitely worth it ^^

Is there a lot of hardcore language involved?

Uh, well, Japanese anime... it's not like writers ever use hardcore language in the original, companies and fansubbers just translate stuff stupidly... So if someone's using curse words in the English, they're really saying "goshdarnit" in Japanese...

I personally really liked Darker Than Black. It didn't pull me in like some other series but it was definitely different and enjoyable enough to keep me watching.

As far as violence is concerned, I found it to be very tame overall. In fact, if someone asked me if this was a violent series, I would be inclined to say no, for the most part. (This is coming from someone that used to suffer from haemophobia, mind you).

I recommend it, like I do most BONES anime. Top notch :).
