Dead Video Card?

Postby Shao Feng-Li » Sat Jun 02, 2007 7:31 am

In the other computer is a NVidia Geforce 5600. And I think it died. I know it's not the monitor since I was able to hook it up to my laptop.

Everything else works, runs and sounds fine. There's just a black blank screen on the desktop.

EDIT: Hey, I fixed it for now :D I shut it all down and unplugged every thing. Then messed with the insides... and it's working now.

It was probobly a loose Video card. That can happen especially if the cable is moved.

Come someone make my heavy heart light
Come undone, bring me back to life

Glad it's working! I hate video card issues. They can be a pain. For future reference, moving the video card to another slot (if it's not an AGP card) can help smack the computer into some semblance of reality. :D

...As far as I can tell, there's only one slot that the card can go into.
