Some Scribbles

Postby Bunny » Thu May 10, 2007 7:24 pm

Haven't dropped by this forum in a very long time. Eeck. :/
I really don't consider myself a strong poet so recently I've been trying to better myself a little in that area.

This is actually a pantoum. We had a poetry conference at our school that I was fortunate enough to attend and we were taught this particular form of poetry. It's said to work best with dreams or memories or really out there kind of topics of the sort. I have the paper on the actual formatting somewhere if anyone's interested. It's pretty nifty.

Pond of Koi

Two gold eagles fight in midair

I watch from a forest with others

On the moon now, colors go negative

Next dream

I watch from a forest with others

I carry a little girl down a snowy peak

Next dream

Buddha looks away and tells me I’m dying

I carry a little girl down a snowy peak

Bullets melt in my fist

Buddha looks away and tells me I’m dying

Jumping into a pond of koi

Bullets melt in my fist

I’m a prisoner, breaking free

Jumping into a pond of koi

They’re testing me now and I know it

I’m a prisoner, breaking free

On the moon now, colors go negative

They’re testing me and I know it

Two gold eagles fight in midair

The next one is one I wrote just recently. No explanation. Just kinda random.

The Wilderness Type

Music starts
something slow
sultry
grinds trickles
down Bones and Blood
on bro ken glass that shimmers
the way I feel
golden lilies c l o s e
luminous Faces hidden
a Storm is on the way

Music is on
something slow
sultry
beats like a heart
a drum
Rain on the bro ken glass
symphony of feeling
Air thick, warm
Forest ages old unfolds
a Storm opens up

Music loudly Pounds
something slow
sultry
D r i p s from the sky
down leaves and branches
on my Skin in beads
feel the way it rolls
stretch and
pull
Enter the Forest and walk
the Storm grows strong

Music calls
something slow
sultry
I move
b r u s h like silk
Feathers or Scales
feel it is the same
green of trees
f a l l s for miles
a storm Breaks! loose

Music is everywhere
something slow
sultry
burns sways
Lights up the dark
not the Sun but FIRE
feel the heat already
Drums Beat Wild
A heart in the jungle
the Storm runs free

Music is here
something slow
sultry
grinds trickles
down Bones and Blood
whole world shimmers
the way I feel
I m o v e like Flame
D a n c e like Life
the Storm is God in the wilderness
and I am the Wild type

"So David said to Michal, "It was before the LORD, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the LORD. And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor."

2 Samuel 6: 21&22

"I am going to take this bucket of water and pour it on the flames of hell, and then I am going to use this torch to burn down the gates of paradise so that people will not love God for want of heaven or fear of hell, but because He is God."

I really enjoyed these, Bunny, the first one the most. Could I get a copy of the paper?
With your doubt, all is comfort
We are all as we appear
No more questions left unanswered
No more wonder, no more fear
Nothing is beauty, nothing's feeling
Blood where there once was a soul
So I ask you, prove yourself
Make me believe that you are whole

Ooookay, I lied. I completely lost that paper.
There's some pretty good reference material on Google, though! Sorry! ^_^*
