A song I wrote

Postby The Liar XIII » Wed Apr 18, 2007 12:47 pm

This is a song I wrote for a tribute to my Aunt who passed away not too long ago from Cancer.

I got a few comments from people saying "I can picture someone singing that" or "Thats beautiful", etc.

In Stride
I'm sitting here,
Thinking about you,
All day and all night through,
I'm sitting here,
Slowly waisting away,
You've been on my mind all day,

Chorus:
I miss you,
I really do,
Lately I've been feeling blue,
And I never noticed,
You were by my side,
I guess we'll have to take it all In Stride,

I'm laying here,
Trying to get away,
But you always keep me awake,
I'm laying here,
Slowly drifting afar,
Trying to sleep seems so hard,

Chorus:
I miss you,
I really do,
Lately I've been feeling blue,
And I never noticed,
You were by my side,
I guess we'll have to take it all In Stride,

~Solo~

I................ love..........You............
I..............Really...........Do..........
I................Miss............You.........
Been feeling blue...

~Solo~

I'm walking here,
I faced my fears,
For too many years,
I'm walking here,
Up and down the streets,
I'm starting to feel very weak,

I'm sitting here,
Waiting for the night,
Everything is going to be alright,
I'm sitting here,
Right by your side,
Returning the favor, taking it all In Stride

So, What'dya think?

Your song is pretty deep...I imagine in Heaven that she's smiling down on you.
"I wanna heal, I wanna feel what I thought was never real
I wanna let go of the pain I’ve held so long
(Erase all the pain till it’s gone)
I wanna heal, I wanna feel like I’m close to something real
I wanna find something I’ve wanted all along
Somewhere I belong

I will never know myself until I do this on my own
And I will never feel anything else, until my wounds are healed
I will never be anything till I break away from me
I will break away, I'll find myself today

Interesting...I understand the feeling, I've written some things related to the death of loved ones myself...

You should record it, I'd like to hear it on purevolume or something.

Also, since I haven't seen either of you post in the welcoming forums, welcome to CAA! We can always use more writers. I have a thread for my poetry myself, check it out if you like.

Happy to have you on board,

Zarn.
With your doubt, all is comfort
We are all as we appear
No more questions left unanswered
No more wonder, no more fear
Nothing is beauty, nothing's feeling
Blood where there once was a soul
So I ask you, prove yourself
Make me believe that you are whole

I wrote another song.. This one has a lighter mood.
It has that AC/DC feel to it:

"Take Me Away"

Driving down the road,
Smoking a cigar,
Got a heavy load,
In the trunk of my car,

I got a Jesus on my dash board,
I got sunglasses on my head,
I'm bringing my surf board,
No tears are being shed,

Bridge:
Because I'm heading out,
I wanna shout,
I'm bringing you along,
Because I'm heading out,
Theres no doubt,
So Tell me whats wrong,

Chorus:
Take Me Away to where the sun is shining,
Take Me Away to where there is no breeze,
Take Me Away to where the fish are jumpin',
Take Me Away to wherever you please,

~Solo~

Zooming down the highway,
Listening to the radio,
This trip is going my way,
But you choose where to go,

My chips are all eaten,
You ate them one by one,
But I am not beaten,
Because I can buy some stuff,

Bridge:
Because I'm heading out,
I wanna shout,
I'm bringing you along,
Because I'm heading out,
Theres no doubt,
So Tell me whats wrong,

Chorus:
Take Me Away to where the people are smiling,
Take Me Away to where there is a beach,
Take Me Away to where the heat is bustin',
Take Me Away to wherever you please,

~Solo~

Heading out,
(Heading out)
Heading out,
(Heading out)
Heading out,
(Heading out)
Heading out,
(Heading out)
Heading out,
(Heading out)

Bridge:
Because I'm heading out,
I wanna shout,
I'm bringing you along,
Because I'm heading out,
Theres no doubt,
So Tell me whats wrong,

Chorus:
Take Me Away to where there is no crying,
Take Me Away to where there are many seas,
Take Me Away to where the women are pilin',
Take Me Away to wherever you please,

Take Me Away, Yeah,
Take Me Away, Oooh,
Take Me Away, Yes you,
Take Me Away, Shout it, Shout it, Shout, YEOW!

Pretty interesting what is the meaning?
"I wanna heal, I wanna feel what I thought was never real
I wanna let go of the pain I’ve held so long
(Erase all the pain till it’s gone)
I wanna heal, I wanna feel like I’m close to something real
I wanna find something I’ve wanted all along
Somewhere I belong

I will never know myself until I do this on my own
And I will never feel anything else, until my wounds are healed
I will never be anything till I break away from me
I will break away, I'll find myself today

Just a guy and a girl going on a trip.. No big meaning of life or anything.
Just one of those songs you would just sit back and chill to or dance to..
