More Recommendations: Gamecube Games You Can'

Well, despite lively discussion and some good suggestions, I have yet to get any good xbox games. I am, however, taking my GameCube back with me along with Metroid Prime, Windwaker, Pikmin, Tales of Symphonia, and Super Smash Brothers Melee.

What else would you add to this list?

I've as much experience with the GameCube as I do with the Xbox (read: none ), but I'd still recommend the Mega Man Anniversary Collection. ^_^

If you like rpgs, I would recommend Skies of Arcadia: Legends. It's a remake of a Dreamcast game, so its graphics are a bit different from regular GameCube graphics. But the gameplay is fun and unique. It's not nearly as long as Tales, but it has memorable characters, interesting levels, and a great storyline.

Even though I personally disagree with Twilight Princess being 'THE GREATEST ZELDA MASTERPIECE OF ALL TIME ADDASLFL:SDFSEIGSOIGJSDRIGSGJ!!!!!!!', I think it goes without saying that you will really enjoy it.

I'd say, um, while killer 7 is a good looking game, it's also considered one of the most disturbing games ever made and was nearing an AO rating when it was released. Just saying... Killer 7 may not be the best choice for you, Ashley.

Definitely. I have found both to be extremely entertaining.

Being a Sonic fan, there's tons of fun Sonic stuffage, especially if it was one series of nostalgia for you there's the Sonic Mega Collection^^ I have the PS2 version, but still tons of fun stuff on there^^ And only recently was able to buy the Sonic Adventures... haven't played them yet but I know from the anime that the stories seem good^^ I also bought FF Crystal Chronicles too, but have yet to play it. I hear different things about it though.

Chibi Robo! For some good clean..err..cleaning fun, it's a quirky but truly innovative game. I totally recommend it.

Eternal Darkness definetly is. You can tell it's obviously an older GC title, but I still found it pretty enjoyable (just don't look in the bathtub; trust me).

I'll also second Viewtiful Joe and especially Resident Evil 4. Yes, the latter is quite violent, but still one of the best GC games I've played to date (as well as being one of the few I still really WANT to go back and play through again; for me, that's tough). Oh, and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.

I second Skies of Arcadia!! SO MUCH!! <.<;; Ahem.. yes, fun game. If you want cutesy Zelda, you can go with Windwaker, but everyone is saying the new one is better.... I haven't completed either of them.

I like Eternal Darkness a lot. But I quit playing it as playing it alone in my room was beginning to freak me out. Its one of those horror games that aren't really scary but it creates a very spooky mood so if someone where to sneak up behind out and say "Boo!" you would jump sky high. Alone at least. Playing it with others around, the spooky atmosphere is kind of lost. I don't even like this style of game much but I thought this was great.

I definitely enjoyed Pape Mario:The Thousand Year Door, Pikmin 2, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, and Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

The are some of the best games I have played and enjoyed many hours with them.

I recommend Chibi Robo too!

I also recommend Shadow The Hedgehog if you have no problems with frequent use of the d-word.

And of course Viewtiful Joe, though in Level 2 there's some offensive stuff in the city background, such as cartoonish nude girls with stars covering up their bad chest areas. There are also risque signs. This didn't bother me, but I wanted to say it just in case you're offended by such materials.

Oh, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy. This is a multi-platform game but I still think its pretty great. It has a very similar style to Zelda only it uses Egyptian Mythology as its backdrop for the story. The beginning of the game is meh, but after you get going on the actual quest and all, the game is quite fun. You switch off between two characters, Sphinx the warrior hero, and the Mummy of a dead young pharaoh who was murdered. Lots of puzzles to solve (infact everything you do with the mummy are puzzles, and since the mummy cant die, there are some pretty funny things you have to do to him to finish a puzzle).

I would also LOVE to find the uber rare release discs for Majora's Mask and Ocarina of TIme for the GC (I think it was in that "Master Collection" pre-order thing)

It was both. There's a Wii version and a GC version. That's definitely something you need to have.

I got the master collection a little while ago, it has "Ocarina of Time", "Majora's Mask" "The Legend of Zelda", and "Zelda II: The Adventures of Link". It is a pretty good port overall. The only problems I have with it, is that the frame rate for "Majoras Mask" seems kind of choppy. After just beating the ultra-pretty graphic "Twilight Princess", I found the choppy game play very annoying. Still the downsides are small compared to the awesomeness of having all these games for your cube. Definately a must have, if you can find one that is.

Is Chibi-Robo anything like Katamari?

In some terms, yes, in other terms, no. Chibi doesn't posses the, how should I say this, surrealism that Katamari is famous for. But it does posses some of the quirky and very Japanese styled situations. My only complaint with the game was that it was a little on the short side, and almost all of the side-quests didn't give you any real reward for completing them.

As for Shadow the Hedgehog, and I'm going to have to apologize to some real fans of the series, especially with me being a Sonic fan to, but I would absolutely not suggest buying it. I can't play any of the 3-D games because they give me motion sickness, but that's the least of your worries if you buy it. The game play is un-responsive, the camera has little to no control and puts you in the worst positions, the characters are "matured" which broke the very idea of what Sonic is really supposed to be about. I'm sorry Sonic fans, but hearing Sonic swear is like seeing Mario play the role of the true villain. That might not seem like very much, but growing up with both these characters, the idea is unthinkable for me.

Now, as for what I should suggest for you, well, that compares to what genera's you like.

The essentials I would list though include: Metroid Prime and 2, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Harvest Moon: It's a Wonderful Life, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Pikmin and 2 (although 2 is considered better), Ikaruga (although it's very, VERY hard to find), and Viewtiful Joe. Although some of the suggestions other people have given are good too. (Haven't played them yet. Still completing my collection. XD)

Also, I haven't listed any M rated games because I don't play them. They're right about the game being incredible, but you should be very cautious if you consider it. If it's one thing I know about video games, they don't earn the M rating for nothing.

SOUL CALIBUR 2! That game ROCKS!

And by the way, the GCN version has an extra character: Link! No, not the Link in The Wind Waker. The Twilight Princess styled adult Link. If you like Link you will like SC2. BTW it's rated T, I'll post up a review soon.

Also I second Zelda Master Collection if u can find one. It came with my Cube (I got it as a b-day gift in 2003) and I played the heck out of it.

I've only seen one vote for Animal Crossing, so I'll add a second. It is amazing how engrossing trying to fill the museum, collect all the furniture, and keep your animal friends from leaving can become.
