[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
Mr. SmartyPants wrote:Kaji, I agree with what you have said. But even so, it still bothers me to this day, and it has been a recent thing that grew on my mind. I find fanaticism or extreme obsession in anything extremely unhealthy and quite dumb.
I wouldn't say I'm trying to purposefully bash anyone. But I was asked where I stood on the subject, so I answered. I defined by fandom to the nitty-gritty, which included my likes and dislikes of the fandom.

Your pretty much setting judgement on people you don't know. There is a tendency to go overthetop, I mean, after all, there are those creepy guys who surround themselves with moe figures of 14yr ol' girls with frilly dresses and body pillows (ewww....) but really cosplayers? Come off it man, don't be a hater!

I remember the time...
Me: Hey... that cammy cosplayer is kind of cute.
Nate: Ryan... that's a GUY.
Me: No that can't be a guy! She has like... a protruding chest! Not to mention shaved legs.
Nate: No Ryan... It's a guy...
Me: *Looks closer*.... Oh... oh goodness... >_>
