I know there is a 'Hideo Kojima' thread, but that just seems to be a thread congratulating him. This is a thread that can be a giant discussion of the ENTIRE Metal Gear series.
From NES, to PS1, to PS2, to PSP, to PS3. All here.
Let me open by asking a few questions:
1. I own MSG2. The disc is pretty scratched and I know a place that has tons of copies of MGS2: Substance and MGS3: Subsistance. Will I be able to use the same file for MSG2: Substance that I used for Sons of Liberty?
2. How are the Ac!d games? Which part turns you off more, the fact it is turn based or the fact that is for PSP?
3. Who here was disappointed that MGS2 was advertised like Snake was the main character and soon found out the cold truth...
4.
Who saved Meryl?
5. Which Metal Gear game ranks as your all time fave?
(Assumes overall answer will be '3'.)

ShatterheartArk wrote:No worries. I am just a Metal Gear nerd. *laughs* To know things like that, you must first give up on other things in life. Like a social life.

Also, ShatterHeartArk, I would consider what you said a spoiler.
Does anyone here know the answer to Question '1'? I posted it first for a reason.
To conclude, I like the fact you aren't Snake because otherwise it would be completly repetitive. However, I highly dislike Raiden's "I can't do this on my own" personality and instead of brave, he's curious.
I mean it's nice to not be Snake once in awhile, but the Chuck Norris to Owen Wilson conversion just doesn't work for me.
I am reading your thought... yeeessss.... you like Castlevania, don't you?
Tom Dincht wrote:It's taking me more than a second.
I fail to understand the relevance of Castlevania to MGS.

Bobtheduck wrote:I'm not sure if I read the whole thing, but yeah, I know that... Particularly since in the last couple trailers for MGS4, Meryl has been there... A much less obsessive fan should have picked up on THAT one...
The big discovery for me in "in the shadow" was that of Nastasha's Husband...

Here's a question for all: Who is your favorite antagonist from the MGS games? I'm going with the Cyborg Ninja from MGS, even though
he isn't really Snake's enemy . . .
But I think that just makes him cooler.
Shame he gets squished.
I also think Ocelot in MGS3 was a riot. Especially his "meow". Gotta love that weird MGS humor . . .
