*laughs* Um, you can add friends by going to the "My NaNoWriMo" link, then go to the link on the left side that says Writing Buddies. Then you can put in the screen name of who you want to add and it will add them to your list.

I'll add you to my list ^^ Oh, and good luck with that child-feeding thing. XD

Looks like fun... but I can hardly keep interest in writing anything...

Besides, It takes me for ever to write something when I actually feel like it and over 4 pages per day is a bit much for me... >.>;; (*has his font set so he gets about 250 words per page*) Maybe I'll unofficially give it a shot though. You know... like writing from the sidelines.

... If I can think of a story. XD

I'm the same way, Siggy, it takes me a long time to write, but I'm thinking the deadline and actually really applying myself will help that.
I hope XD

Blithe, eh? Good. I'd already added you, then. ^^

I'm not sure if I'll get to the 50,000 word thing; but I've made a deal with my usually perfectionistic self:

"Soph, if you get to the 50,000 word mark... great! If you don't, so what? You'll have probably improved after writing that much (even if it's stuff as random as: 'the clouds in the sky looked like someone had spewed them out like stringy cheese. Or rather, like white cheese. ...Actually, not like cheese at all. Clouds don't look like cheese.') ...And if you write using those story ideas you've been too intimidated to touch, maybe you'll be able to get a better idea of characters, places, etc; and maybe even be able to salvage some of the garble you've written!
At least, it'll make you write and stop slacking.'

So even if you don't get to 50,000 words, if there's some way you can benefit from it (even if it'll just do the job of chasing away boredom, like a bear, with a flaming stick) you should consider it. But then again, it's also not good to overcommit yourself, get too stressed, or anything like that.

Felix wrote:I'm the same way, Siggy, it takes me a long time to write, but I'm thinking the deadline and actually really applying myself will help that.

Me too. ^^

<EDIT>Wow... look at those random sentences I wrote. '...Cheese clouds?' 'Flaming stick?' ...Must be something to do with waking up at 2 AM and thinking about writing as I fall back to sleep. :lol:
...Darn you, early morning creativity! *Shakes fist*
Note: I am not writing this post at 2:00 AM.

<EDIT EDIT (What? It's better that double posting! ;) >Love your av, Felix; I think I'll try that. Keep some privacy on the web while still having an av! ^^

Hehe, thanks ^_^ I loved what you wrote about cheese clouds! XD That was some quality prose, my friend! 2 AM or not, you've definetly got it where it counts when it comes to describing cheesy clouds.

I'm going to have to keep my perfectionist self in check as well. Doing my usual type a sentence, stare at it for 5 minutes, decide it sucks and delete it is not going to get me anywhere. XD;

Also, I'll have to abandon watching the D.Gray-man anime for November, methinks, otherwise I know I'm going to start fanfiction instead of working on something original for me. =[

I know what you mean. And I still have to read up on that text scrambling program before November, so I don't waste time trying to figure it out when I should be writing. X) Well, October's only started, so it's all good. ^^

Yeah... I'll probably end up backspacing and rewriting some too; maybe after a while I'll get used to the process and do that less, though. Hopefully. That'll make putting up the word count easier.

Thanks! Yush, I am the Ub3r cheese-cloud writing master! :lol:

...Maybe you could record the anime? And when you're finished with the writing madness, you can have an anime watching spree! (Spree! That's a fun word. :P )

AH, yeah Kokoro... and Death Note too T_T Plus FF12 is coming out on like October 31... so much to distract me!! I'll just have to make them rewards for meeting my word quota for the day.

I'm also a really big perfectionist when I'm writing. I ALWAYS backspace and fix mistakes if I see them. Killing off my inner editor is going to be interesting...

And soph... I couldn't have said it better. The cheesy clouds really spoke to me.

i know what you mean, i have a lot of trouble doing that...they call it "switching off your internal editor", and i find it hard to not correct as i go...... :dizzy:

I'm hoping it will be. :) Yeah, the inner editor can be a tough thing to break down. I wonder how I'll deal with that? It'll be interesting to see.

Thanks. Go cheesy clouds! ;)

Attach a device that gives one an electrical shock when you hit the backspace button. o.o;

Oh no, I've dealt with backspace-screamers before. They charge outrageous rates and expect a full dental plan and it's just not worth it, trust me.

I reckon.
Wow; we've done 6 pages already and November hasn't even started....
By the way, do you know if there's an official start time for everybody worldwide (as in, Nov. 1 12:00AM GST) or if it starts at midnight depending on where you are in the world?

Yeah I don't think they hold too strictly to really picky rules. I suppose you'd just start whenever it becomes November 1st in your time zone.
