That's good that you've tried it Ryan. Sad to hear you didn't enjoy it. The graphics were crap but pretty much everything else was spot on. As for the weapons not being all that powerful, its a stealth game and the focus was on stealth. But I guess the controls could have been a bit easier for that.
Strangely I don't have any problems with remembering all the keys for Thief, but if a FPS has the same amount my brain basically explodes.

Arrows in Thief are one-hit-kill on any area besides the legs as long as you remain undetected.
Besides, on the harder difficulty levels, you're not allowed to kill anyone.
Thief is one of those few games which is fun to play on the hardes difficulty level.
