Recording Onscreen

Postby Neko Niisan » Sat Sep 16, 2006 6:02 pm

I am having a problem with recording on screen movie images. I am trying to extract a very short section of video and am using Camtasi Studio 3 to do so...
However. Where the video appears on the screen, there is a blank black box. The interesting thing is that, if I lay the recording video of the original video it "shows through" and I can see what is actively running in the Media player.
Anyone have any ideas on how to sort this out?
Will insert something intelligent here later... maybe

Try right-clicking the desktop, going to Properties, then the Settings tab, then the Advanced button, then the Troubleshoot tab, and then turn Hardware acceleration down to none. Hit OK, and you should be able to capture the movie. (Remember to turn the Hardware acceleration back to full after you have.)

Thankyou ever so much, it is now working but I wonder of you could help me a little more?

What video configuration should I use? Ii I let it auto configure then no matter how much I put the frames per send up then it still kind off in strobe...

The sound is also a little grainy and I don't know how to tweak it...

Sorry to be such a newb.
