i'm sorry, i just had to laugh after reading that thread link. XD good heavens! all that hullaballoo over the letter?! hmm...i think the real lesbians themselves would actually find it a triumph that the people here are isolating those instances and working themselves up into a heated frenzy when those scenes really weren't implying anything in the first place. oh well, different strokes for different folks.
anyway, that's beside the point already. so to allay your worries, trigun, i checked the episodes again. XD
SPOILER
there were two scenes where chloe and kirika were taking a bath (without clothes, of course): one from episode 24 and another from episode 25. regarding episode 24, like i said, nothing explicit; everything that should be covered is coincidentally covered. it's just like a scene of a hot spring bath in japan or something and it shouldn't be problematic unless you have something against two girls taking a bath together (depends on the culture you were born into, i guess). as for ep 25, you do get some contact between the two unrobed girls: holding hands, a kiss, and a hug. nothing offensive (at least for me), but it depends how you would interpret it.
the idol worship i said isn't about worshipping statues or images or anything cultic...that's just my poetic side saying that chloe was just too pre-occupied in wanting to become like kirika. it does somehow border into creepiness. but then keep in mind that chloe was a misguided girl and she wasn't supposed to be brought up to be normal person.
and the purifying ritual...hmm, maybe i made it sound too formal. XD they were just taking a bath in preparation for a ceremony and they were going to be dressed in ceremonial uniforms. XD i checked...no mention of purification. sorry, my bad. like i said, my memory's going bad.
END SPOILER
however, i would recommend that the people watching it should be a little mature, not because of specific scenes, but because of the underlying themes like sin, sacrifice, and redemption. they're rather heavy.
