Saiunkoku Monogatari

So, has anybody else watched Saiunkoku Monogatari? I really like it so far. It kinda makes me think of Fushigi Yuugi, but, I dunno, less dark or something. Not like the stories are all that similar...just reminds me of it...maybe it's the character design. Anywho, just want to know your opinions!

I've seen a few episodes. There's a lot to like about it -- the background music, the costume design, Houko Kuwashima -- but the story hasn't really caught my interest. I may see if I can track down the soundtrack, though.

yay, i'm not alone in this world! i really liked the story for some reason. it could just be that its finally something different than all of the new shows i've seen recently. kiba, uta, fate/stay night, and even the third all seem like i'm basically watching the same thing. its a nice change from all of the fighting/war based anime. and the story is moving on quite a bit.
they changed the laws regarding taking the test to become an official, so shuurei was able to take it even tho she was a woman. yay!! she had the third highest score.
I really like this series ! It's very light and cute ^^ When I'm in a bad mood, I'll want to watch this because it's funny and the plot doesn't weigh you down.

I LOVE this series. I love everything about it except for some smaller things, like the innuendos (ick). I think the intro. theme is absolutely beautiful, and I am really impressed by the integrity of the character concepts and presentations.
