Postby Sami_jane » Sun Sep 03, 2006 7:00 am

ok im at the end of this series
i just passed the episode where kachiro left to go out on his own and arrived at kanna to save then from having their town burnt down and the rest are in the cave preparign to take the capitol
ok now that that is out of the way my question is after all that happened its starting to look like kiara is in love with kambe....am i right in that guess? isnt he like in his 50's tho...thats a little odd. i always thought she was in love with kachiro.

thats what i think. i would go as far to say if that is the case it will throw off the whole show for me. i mean the anime is great (apart for the extreamly long opening <_< ) but if they end up togather that will just be wrong. lol

i don't think the opening theme song is that long (unless you're talking about some other opening) and i actually enjoy the theme song.

If you read the words in the song, you can see how it describes Kirara's feelings for
Kambei and not Katsushiro.
If you look back on it, you can see how her affections for him have been growing the whole time:
She rejects Katsushiro at the beginning and desperately wants Kambei. (Not saying she wanted him right then, she wanted to save her people first at this point.)

Jumping so that he would rescue her. Come on, what girl wouldn't want to be rescued by a dashing samurai?

She doesn't like Kyuzo because she's worried that he'll kill Kambei.

And finally she slaps Katsu because he insulted Kambei.
As far as I know, Kirara's age is never given. She could easily be in her 20's. As for Kambei, he can't be that much older than Shichiroji, and neither of them have aged much since the war.

As for Katsushiro...hormones I guess?

wow. i never really read the lyrics in the theme song but i just thought it was a theme song. anyways, is this how it was in the actual story that samurai 7 is based on, "The Seven Samurai"? if so, that's...pretty creepy.

In my opinion, the only things that Samurai 7 and the film The Seven Samurai have in common are the seven main characters ('cept they decided to give more info on Shichiroji), and the whole bandits wanting to take over the village element. Other than that, the film and the anime are completely different.
K. Ayato: What happens if you press the small red button?

*Explosion goes off in the movie*

mechana2015: Does that answer your question?

K. Ayato: Perfectly.

Prayer sister of kaji, sticksabuser, Angel37, and Doubleshadow --Love you guys! :)
