What do you all think of Cowboy Bebop. I personally love. My fav anime show! But what do you all think with the language, violence, sexual content, nudity and other crap in it?

Cowboy Bebop is, in my opinion, the greatest anime ever made.

well, to be honest, i don't think the sexual content is TOO bad, but it could've still been cleaner. language wasn't much of an issue either. probably as bad as one of the more milder PG-13 movies. the nudity was only in certain episodes and was pretty brief, however, that was a major issue for me. as for violence, i expected MORE. i was sort of disappointed that there wasn't as much action as i expected. however, this anime is, also in my opinion, the greatest anime ever made.

I watched the Cowboy Bebop movie a couple months back. I didn't find the violence excessive and I don't recall the language being too bad. I did find the character Fey (sp?) a bit of a problem in terms of dress and in a scene with the villain. So that was a disappointment.

Anyway, that's my angle on the movie. I've not seen anything else of Cowboy Bebop.

Well, I've only seen it on Adult Swim, so I'm assuming they cut some stuff out. That being said....

At first, I wasn't *too* impressed. I though it was a nice series with a decent plot, but it 'wasn't really my thing'.

I saw some more episodes on Adult Swim and thought "Okay, I can see why people enjoy this".

Then I saw the ending.
WHAT. AN. ENDING.

So, yeah, even though it's still not my *favorite* anime of all time, I ADORE it. It's definately one of the best.

Yes, indeed. XD Cinematic gold, that ending. Bebop is definitely one of my favorite anime, but it's not my very favorite. It's around number 5 or 6 on my list of top 10, if I remember correctly. I only own a couple of the DVDs though, in order to stay away from the episodes with the more objectionable content. Still though, the volumes I do own (3 and 6) contain some of my favorite (the last 3 episodes included) episodes. :D

Ah yes I just recently watched this in its entireity and I have to say it was probably on of the most cinamtic and greatest animes I have seen in a while. I did like the ending alot. The Sexuality wasn't as a whole as bad as a expected it to be. Faye could use alot more clothes but still no worse than say any public beach. Language again not as bad as expected. Violence was on par with what i figured it would be like. It was to bad until the end when Vicious gets lose and does his name justice and does one of my favirote lines and puts his sword under the eyes of one of the elder dudes and the slashes.

 my favorite episode was episode 20 (i think) with that one psycho fat dude wearing that hat and he has like a billion trillion guns. i liked it the most because it was the most intense and action packed (at least in my opinion). he was one of the very few characters whom i, personally, believe is stronger than spike. i think spike got lucky at the end. REALLY lucky.

Episode 20, "Pierrot Le Fou." Spike isn't just good, he's lucky (at least, as lucky as a guy who's perpetually poor and heartbroken can be considered to be). It's better to be lucky than good, and if you're both...well.

yeah. what he said. anyways, that episode was also very mysterious. you don't learn too much of the villain's background and the way he died, was...creepy. i remember, i was watching this episode at a hotel like two years ago. my parents said i had to stay in my grandparents' room because we couldn't fit my entire family in one room. and my grandparent's didn't really care what i watched, as long as it wasn't too long. i wasn't really into anime as much back then and it was my very first time watching cowboy bebop. i saw from the flashback, up to the end. and i had nightmares that night.

Oooh, I remember that episode. It was really good! That's one that I don't own, but probably should someday. XD The whole carnival setting made it really creepy. XD Other favorites of mine are "Toys in the Attic," "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Hard Luck Woman," and of course, "The Real Folk Blues," parts I and II. :thumb:

One thing I like about Bebop that I've noticed over the past few years that I've been watching it is that it's a really good show to watch late at night. XD Something about the overall mellow, jazzy feel it has (especially in the quieter episodes) just makes watching it late at night so much better. XD Or maybe that's just me, who knows...

ahh yes. Real Folk Blues (parts 1 and 2) was pretty good as well. none of the other episodes really ring a bell except for "toys in the attic", but that one was pretty freaky. i like how cowboy bebop makes things seem really scary but it ends up being something comical (most of the time).

Bohemian Rhapsody is the episode with the old man who plays chess...I had never heard of it either, until I bought the DVD it was on. It's a great episode, though! Hard Luck Woman is the third episode from the end]Faye and Ed begin to find out all about their past lives on earth, and Ed decides to leave with Ein. It's a really good, but really sad, episode. There's some great insert songs in it, though! :thumb:[/SPOILER]

I don't think ya should not buy whole disks, just maybe skip the episodes with bad stuff. Like no. 9 when Faye runs in on 2 gay guys! :wow!:

Cowboy Bebop is definitely a superb anime. I would go as far as to say that it is the best so far, even though it's not my favorite, as I've never been all that fond of cowboys or outer space. Still, it's up there in my favorites.

I like the Faye episodes the best.Any episode that features Faye.I especially love the opening of Honky Tonk Women where she puts the stogie in her mouth and tells the gun shop owner:"The first rule of combat..is to get them before they
get you!"as she fires at the men chasing her. That has to be one of the coolest scenes in the entire show.
