Nope. It's a French-Japanese product.Eva/Molly is played by the same voice actress that plays Hokadishu on Inuyasha.

I also felt like I've heard her voice in other plases.... Didn't she play that pink haired mamodo (name escapes me) is Zatch Bell? It sounds like her.

I don't watch Zatch Bell, but I love Oban soooo much...since Sunday. There was a marathon on and I got sooo hooked. It's just funny to me, though, that Eva's father doesn't even recognize her, and every time she tried to tell them, something happened.(I've only watche episodes 1, 7-14?maybe)

Try looking her up at Anime News Network.I think her name is Chiara Zanni or something like that.
Also note that Kirby Morrow is the voice of Prince Aika.

If I remember correctly when I was looking up the new JETIX schedule the link at ANN to where they found the source for the new schedule also had it listed that
Oban Star Racers was going to move up to the 9:00 p.m. spot on Mondays in the Fall taking the place of W.I.T.C.H.

btw:If you took W.I.T.C.H.,Oban Star Racers,Shinzo,Digimon from Toon Disney and added Avatar:The Last Air Bender from Nickoldeon and Zatch Bell,One Piece,
Pokemon and Ben 10 from Cartoon Network you would have the start of one durn good animation network.

Agreed... but you'd also have to add Zim, Danny Phantom, and Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go to make the perfect network in my opinion.

I know a site with new Jetix episode listings. It's http://www.angelfire.com/scifi/prstuff/jetix.html and it's a well trusted sourse.

Yep.But I think we're getting off topic a bit.
I think Rick is finally figuring out who Molly really is,Don Wei seems to be a bit slower to realize that she's his daugther.Or maybe it's because he doesn't want to admit it to himself.

I caught bits and pieces of it last week and today...the animation style is unique, but I haven't really caught a hold of a plot...probably because I haven't been able to sit still long enough to watch it straight through! But, I like the premise, and it sounds like a beautiful japanese/french anime...unlike another red-headed stepchild "anime" that I will not mention....

Ok for those who have just gotten into Oban Star Racers the main plot follows a girl named Eva Wei who is the daugther of a big race manager named Don Wei.
She runs away from boarding school to be with her dad,but he doesn't recognize her. When asked her name she says it's 'Molly'.'Molly' stowsaway as the team goes to the prelims to the Great Race Of Oban.
When Rick the regular driver is permenantly canned from racing because of injuries 'Molly' steps in,despite Don Wei's not wanting her to.
After several races 'Molly' is relucntantly accepted as part of the team.
Another aspect of the show is 'Molly's' relationship to some of the other characters.
First there is Rick who becomes her coach after loosing two races in a row in the
semis.Rick's cool, but also slightly introverted. He's the first one to be aware of
what 'Molly's' true identity might be.
Second is Jordan.Jordan is the gunner on the team(rules being that anything goes as long as the racers don't kill each other).Jordan is probably the most outgoing of the team.He treats 'Molly' like a younger sister.
Third is Don Wei.Don Wei is still suffering from the lost of his wife in a race when Eva was still little.Because of this he has made a rule against female racers.Even though he carries a picture of his late wife and daughter with him he still has yet to come to the conclusion that 'Molly' is Eva.
Fourth is Prince Aika.Prince Aika is the representative of another of the Races involved in the race.'Molly' as a crush on him and at times it appears that Aika
likes her as well.
The winner of the Great Race of Oban will be greated The Ultimate Prize, which is whatever he or she desires the most.'Molly's' wish appears to have her mother back and her family reunited and happy again.
