I dislike Valentines. It's nice being single when it rolls around, so I don't have to waste my money on worthless crap. At least in Japan the girls are the ones who give chocolate and/or presents to the guys. That'd be nice once in a while.

If I remain single til then (I'm actually trying to avoid relationships right now so I don't have to fall victim to V-Day lol), I'll just be celebrating valentines at the same time as my birthday by seeing Kill Bill vol2 on opening night...maybe I'll buy myself some pocky ^_~

Valentine's day...eeeeeeh. I have someone to spend it with, but I'm still not a big fan of the holiday and stuff. Old scars from the past, I guess. :p

I suppose I could look for a "special someone" to be with on Valentine's Day...but then again I could also smash my thumb with a hammer. Either way it's about the same feeling, but at least in the latter case I am in control.

Seriously though, I will be spending the weekend with my family, since I so rarely see them now that I am in college. They are coming down to visit that weekend, which will be nice. :)

My favorite part about Valentine's Day is the candy hearts. They are in my top 5 favorite candies. :thumb:

I'm going to an anime convention on V-day with four or five of my friends. :thumb: V-day has never really affected me negatively or positively. Never had a Valentine.

Hey, i hear ya. Some of my friends have TWO guys that worship the ground they walk on and they're stressed out 'cause they can't decide which one they like more! :lickbash: They make me sick. Me? :waah!: I couldn't get a guy to go out with me if you paid me 1 million $$ and gave me all the time in the world. :( So if anybody needs a steady online girl for V-day, :jump: let me know.

I dunno... We don't usually make a big deal of Valentine's Day. Maybe a nice dinner, then snuggle up on the couch and watch Trigun... Maybe some flowers and delectable sweets... Maybe OldPhil will read this and get some ideas... hehe just kidding...

Hmm, Valentines Day makes me laugh. ^^ I mean, I guess some ppl really enjoy it as just another excuse to dote on a loved one, but I see it only as an opportunity for some chocolate! :jump: *lol* But then again, I'll use just about anything as an excuse for chocolate. oh a test today? Let's celebrate with chocolate! :jump: :jump:

I just hope Fannie May gets out of financial trouble or gets bought up by someone in time for V-tines Day. It just wouldn't be the same without their chocolate, not to mention the day after 50% off sale!

Actually, on V-tines Day I think about loved ones as in family, relatives, or very close friends.

I just like eating candy and getting hyper with my friends on Valentine's. I'm not the type who'd feel lonely or anything, because I know God's probably waiting for the perfect time in my life to bring me love.

Ah, you have plenty of time! You're still young. Enjoy your youth and enjoy being who you are, and when the time comes you will be that much more ready to share your life with your future soulmate.

I'll see you're alone feeling and raise you a divorce, rejection, and a recently re-married ex-wife that God told me to stand in faith that He'd restore the marriage ;)

But I know what you're talking about. With very rare exception I've had no-one to share the holiday with, and with the "couple-centric" ideology in both the Crisitan community (which doesn't celebrate singleness enough) as well as the world it doesn't help matters either.

I'm thinking Jay Leno has a point... the holiday is a conspiracy of the Flower and Card industries (and maybe the Chocolates industries).... shouldn't we be giving our "loved one" something all the time? Why just 1 day a year?

Oh well.... back to my corner.

0.o to tell the truth I've never cared for the day *shrug* then again its never been anything but a normal day to me. Sure, in elementary we use to have little parties but well, I was only in it for the candy hearts :thumb: hehe. Nothing "special" has ever happen, well unless you count the time my friend proposed lol okay, should I add the fact it was just him trying to act incharacter in one of the games we play? Yeah ... *blink blink* anyways! I just see it as a day to sneak away with some of my mum's chocolate my da gives her *sneak sneak* ... *sneaks more* Weees! Er- yeah ... okay so scratch that first sentance out.

Was not spoken of the soul."

I'll try to do everything I can to distract myself from being lonely and depressed. Maybe even get a date :). Nah, I'm too broke. Maybe Feb. 15th. Hehe.

I've never had a valentine (other than, you know, my whole class in elementary school... "Bobby, Sue, Jimmy, Jorje, Maria, Shaniqua, Akito will you ALL be my valentines?")

I hope to get one this year, but I shouldn't keep my hopes up.
