Tales of Earthsea

hey guys, most likely a majority of all ya'll are newer than when i faded out of this site, but i used to be a pretty active member and even ran some art coloring contests and a photography thing too.

Either way, I'm in Tokyo for the summer and I'm actually going to see Tales of Earthsea on opening day, this saturday (hopefully, the lines will most likely be really long).

not sure if i'll remember to post what i think of it on this site, but does anyone know the story at all? i'm still learning japanese and i don't anticipate subsititles in the theater.

I'm not sure of the story, but that's so cool that you're getting to see it (even if you won't understand much of it! XD; )! Be sure to tell us how it is when you finish!

gedo senki (tales of earthsea) was good, but it i think it was more a drama than an action flick. It seemed to all be building up to answer some mythological mystery revovling around two dragons. I thought it wsa exeptionally well done, but perhaps relied a bit to much on dialogue to advance the plot. I kept waiting for the story to advance faster than a walk, but it only really picked up in the last 20 minutes or so.
either way, I liked it and am glad i saw it. I give it a B.
