I have the cash, and can choose between Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, or Outlaw Star. I originally wanted to get Neon Genesis Evangelion, but it's too much. So what do you think?

Well, if it was my choice I'd go with Trigun. Oh, course it really depends on what you like. I know that CAA has reviews on Cowboy Bebop and Trigun, maybe you can go check them out to help you?

Of the three you're considering (they're all good series), I'd recommend Trigun, but like CobaltAngel said, it may depend on your personal tastes. You'd have a hard time going wrong with any of those three.

I've seen all of Evangelion, and you're right, it IS a great series. I forgot to mention that I was also buying my favorite evangelion dvds with the cash left over ^^

I like Trigun and Bebop equally...Im leaning alot towards Trigun though. Im just trying to figure out which gives me more bang for my buck.

Isn't Trigun about the same price as NGE? In fact, it might be a little more...

I would recommend Outlaw Star. That is the cheapest of the three, so you can buy more stuff with the leftover money.

Edit:
Neon Genesis Evangelion- http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000639E0/qid=1075058814/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-8338011-5529421?v=glance&s=dvd

Trigun- http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005OW09/qid=1075058847/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-8338011-5529421?v=glance&s=dvd

Yup...Trigun is more than NGE on Amazon.com.

Haibane Renmei! (No.. just kidding. It's just that... it's a great series that needs more fans, and is only 4 dvds! But.. I don't even think the 4th is out yet). Probably not your taste, anyway... all the stuff you listed are great sci-fi action series.

I've seen all of those mentioned except for Outlaw Star. Bebop and Trigun are both great... Personally, I liked Trigun better than Bebop. (Trigun is my favorite series, as many here already know). The animation style may not be quite as good, but the story more than makes up for it. Bebop has a great story and great characters, but... compared to Trigun.. Trigun's story and character-development kicks Bebop booty in my humble opinion.

Well, if you're going for content, I'd probably stay away from Outlaw Star. The unedited version is pretty racy and coarse. Trigun and Bebop at least don't have as many sexual innuendos and such. Not that they don't exist, mind you, but at least it's not as prevalent. Just my thoughts there. As for Evangelion...well, most of you guys know how I feel about it, so I won't rehash that one.

If you narrowed it down to those two, it really depends more what you're looking for. Trigun is more the drama (after the first 6 eps or so it turns serious) and Bebop is more the comedy (although it has a serious arc in it too, I felt it was more comedic). You can't go wrong with either one, really.

Have you considered any other titles, or are these the three you narrowed it down too?

I don't think the Cowboy Bebop box set is being produced anymore but it's possible you could find a legitimate used one someplace.

I didn't care for Evangelion. It's the only series I watched once and then sold.

Of those you listed I would have to say Cowboy Bebop is more to my liking. I saw all three on CN and it was the only one I cared enough about to purchase the series.

So..back to the topic. Trigun is my favorite of the three]

Guess I should have posted we already did. ^^;

Anyway, my personal feelings were that I probably liked Cowboy Bebop slightly more than Trigun (*hears Shatterheart woot and Ink sigh*). Just slightly. I don't think you can go wrong with either series. Both were pretty great.

Bebop is my favorite.

Outlaw Star is fantastic if you can take the crudenss of it. Totally hysterical. But Trigun is awesome too. Tricky, very tricky.
Maybe our mistakes are what make our fate. Without them, what would shape our lives? Perhaps if we never veered off course, we wouldn't fall in love, or have babies, or be who we are. After all, seasons change. So do cities. People come into your life and people go. But it's comforting to know the ones you love are always in your heart. And if you're very lucky, a plane ride away.

I like all three, but between those, I'd have a hard time picking between Trigun or Outlaw Star. I have both of those, and am still waiting to get all of Cowboy Bebop. I got Outlaw Star long before I got Trigun, but that was only because it was cheaper.

1.) If you buy a bootleg, you're not just stealing; you're giving money to criminals.
2.) You're ripping off the hard working people who made the series.
3.) Bootlegs have TERRIBLE quality compared to the official versions.
4.) Illegal, duh.
