Hi. I made this so we can just talk about general things that have to do with anime.

... such as butter! You notice how, every once and a while, there's butter in anime? (oops, you mean this isn't goof off?)

Well... That could be a lot of things... I don't know if we can just have general discussion in one thread, but this could make room for tangents, and a lot of confusion... I'm in!

I like anime... You ever notice how a lot of these "aargh nah mays" have those people with really old, yet still young looking, women, half-cat half-rabbit things, and a being that destroys galaxies trapped in a prison in another universe? Yeah, like, they all have that in them. Those weird "aargh nah mays."

Hehehe... man... Can't help it... This just screams "goof off"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evcNPfZlrZs Watch this movie なう。 It's legal, free... And it's more than its premise. It's not saying Fast Food is good food. Just watch it.

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel World You ever have one of those rants where you wake up after a wild all-weekend Animefest (and Sake binge), only to find yourself handcuffed to a Ctarl-Ctarl and on a ship bound for Jurai? Well...me neither.

I saw this in the results of a google search before. The site is animeondvd.com.

Bob is it the thread that's screaming, you that's screaming or both? Goof! Hey, isn't that a Zeon mobile suit? or is it guf?

What kind of things do you have in mind, Kite? I think the topic of anime is indeed a broad one. Think of something specific to get things rolling. ^_^

Is anybody else annoyed by the high price of most anime boxed sets? It is quite annoying. :mutter:

Annoys me too. I'm dying for the Gundam Wing box set, but it's too expensive. I mean, I can afford it. I have enough money in the bank, but it's in the bank. My parents won't let me have what's in the bank and they won't let me keep out anymore than twenty from every check I get. Curses.....

Here's something general. In almost every anime there is a weird self expression. Like feh in Inuyasha and Phwee in Card Captor Sakura. Anyone else notice that?

You know you can get boxsets pretty cheap off of the amazon marketplace.
A ranma 1/2 season 1 boxset goes for 40-50$ U.S.

I don't really understand what you mean by self expression? You mean like Kenshin's oro?

Yeah, just a unique little expression (not even a saying or quote, necessarily) a certain character has. Right, Spirit_Wolf? The only one that springs to mind besides the ones already mentioned is Misaki's EEKS! from Angelic Layer. And yeah, Kenshin's Oro? would qualify.

That's exactly what I meant, Spiritsword. :) Ugh, this total doofy guy I know says oro in an attempt to be like Kenshin...it does not work for him. He bothers me anyway.

And I really wouldn't know what the suit would be called. The only Gundam series I've seen in Gundam Wing. I love GW....

Just re-read your post and thought...'Do we want more randomness? Sure, why not.' So, not that's it's really, like, weird random, just off-topic, but what is everyone's favorite anime song? Mine is Dearest as of right now. It's the third Inuyasha ending theme.

Ah yes... anime does indeed have a broad scope of topics; so broad I can't even follow the conversation. *exits thread*
