OK, sorry, that was mean of me. Seriously, I don't like Inu Yasha and will be glad when it's not taking up timeslots any more, but I'm sorry for the fans' loss.
Anyway, it shouldn't really be surprising that they aren't interested in getting shoujo titles, considering their primary target audience is male. How they ever ended up with Inu Yasha in the first place is a mystery to me.
