Introducing Powerpuff Girls Z! The ANIME version! I think a topic might've been made WAY BACK about there might being an anime on it, but now it just came out...

I saw some pics of this in Anime Insider. I'm not sure what to make of it. But I fear it.

Powerpuff Girls was such a big hit in Japan that it was almost inevitable that this would eventually happen. It's a co-production with Cartoon Network so it should be showing up on TV here around the end of the year or first of next year. 52 episodes have been ordered.

One can only wonder if there is room enough in the world for another Powerpuff series. As Mojo Jojo once said:

"In reality there is only room enough in this world for one Mojo Jojo. One shall be the number of Mojo Jojos in the world, and the number of Mojo Jojos in the world shall be one. Two Mojo Jojos is too many, and three is right out. So the only Mojo Jojo there is room for in the world shall be me."

I wonder what Miss Bellum will look like in the anime?

I think that this has the potential to be either very good...or very, very bad. I won't knock it until I try it.

It's more of a matter of what she'll wear.

If they reveal her face... :shady:

I've yet to see it, but I've heard from people who have that it's a sub-par generic magical girl anme. Oh well, Bubbles sure is cute in anime form.

I saw the initial images a while back on Deviantart. My initial thoughts: Bleedman did it better ;D

I also think Bleedman's PPGD was a lot better looking than the PPGZ anime, but I loved the PPG up until the movie. Everything after the movie just wasn't as good. I'm personally looking forward to the anime, which seems to be an unpopular opinion here >.>

I've known about PPGZ for about a year already.

Also I'll be watching it whenever it's dubbed because the crews from FMA and Sailor Moon worked on this.

That's exactly what I was thinking. XD Of course a rice cake would turn them anime. XD I doubt it will be that good, but I'll probably end up watching a little bit of it at some point just to see.

I dunno...I think it's a nice change of pace...with all the Japanese remakes we've been doing, it's interesting for them to make a remake of one of our shows.

I think this has potential...

Kinda reminds me of Magical Do Re Mi...lolz

IT LOOKS CUTE!!

but why the Z Are they gonna try to find Powerpuff Dragon Balls?

cr...likes cute things..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJycJ_VhQog&search=Powerpuff%20girls%20z (opening)

AWWW Blossom has a yoyo for a weapon, and ButterCup's rather...large...mallet is kawaii!! AND BUBBLES' bubble thingy is cute too!

OK! So I just watched the first episode...ITS REALLY different from our version here in the us.. (ironic how some people say Amercians ruin anime...lol)
SPOILERS! (not reallly but if you were curious about the diffs and sims, but wanted to find out for yourself...don't read the following)
not that this is ruined..it'sactually really funny!!! If it is brought over here to the US I am sure they will have to change a few things to make it make sense....

There is no townsville..it's Tokyo (heh, go figure)

oh and Ms. Bellum isn't any worse off than the American version. They don't even show her face...

umm Proff U has a son! HE IS SO CUTE!! and there is this digital doggie named Peach!!! SO CUTE!

The girls are in JR high or something...they aren't kindergarteners.
The rest you will find out on your own... it's really different tho...

It's intended for kids, but still rather charming, I think it's more of a comedic anime though.

I saw the first episode recentley, and it seems like a pretty generic magical girl anime for children. Mojo Jojo is SO not evil. They made him tall! :sniffle:
