I just got into several new bands.

Summoning which is Lord of the Ring's inspired Black Metal
Theatre of Tragedy which is partially metal. It's mostly gothic/rock. Awesome and beautiful.
Evoken which is doom/black metal.

I think it is called "A Twist in the Myth"
As for Saviour Machine, I can't say that I am a fan. They are a little strange for my taste. They seem like sort of an acquired taste.
Edit: I was just wondering if anyone could give me some info about the objectionable content of the metalcore band "In Flames"? Thanks

In Flames is a ok band. I love them.

The only thing objectable is thier album "Whoracle" but other then that, besides having dark lyrics, they are clean word content and sexually.

And I am on a "Theatre of Tragedy" high right now. Listen to them. Defiently songs like:

"Storm"
"Venus"
"A Distance There Is"
"Bring Forth Ye Shadows"
"Angelique"

Theatre of Tragedy is a great band. My favorite song would have to be "A Rose for the Dead" I dunno why I just love that song. "A Hamlet For A Slothful Vassal" is also another great Theatre of Tragedy song.

I think I had one of their albums... had to sell it though when I needed to buy some Meds while on disability. As I recall there was something that troubled me about it, though I can't say I remember what now.

If it's the same band, the album was the one with an airbushed woman lying on some cloth

But anyone heard of the new band The Human Abstract. There first album is coming out in august and I can't wait. http://www.myspace.com/thehumanabstract theres only one song on the page but its very good.

I want to mention that i have redone my intro to the club thing on page 5:http://www.christiananime.net/showthread.php?t=27142&page=5&pp=10

Also i don't know if it(the myspace) has already been mentioned, but remember a long time ago when i told you guys about a band called Believer?Well I found(although it was a long while ago)a Believer myspace fan page so now you can see for your self how awesome they are.If you don't like old school Thrash Metal you might not like them but they are amazing;my fav band. Here it is:Believer Myspace

They recently changed the songs so you can't listen to Shadow Of Death(Believer's most poular song)or Wisdom's Call but i would recommend downloading the three songs that are up now cause they are rare.Dies Irae is an amazing song and so are the others!

Yea theatre of tragedy did have that one album with the nude woman on the cover which was why I never bought that one. Their best albums are Aegis and their self titled album and both those album covers are clean :D

Not sure about all the lyrics, haven't listened to them for some time but anyway...

As I recall I had heard a song from a friend and thought it was cool, and that was the only album they had when I went to look to get some of their stuff.

Of course compared to the death metal album in the same store with a disemboweled woman for album art... I saw that and had to ask "What the @#$% is wrong with these people!?"

I am just throwing this out but "decent" nudity can be art (and I am not talking about hentai or porn).

That's how I saw the album cover anyways.

Yea I know... but see... my mom wouldn't let me get something with that on the cover. She was always extreamly picky when it came to nudity or sexy outfits of any kind cause she thought we'd grow up to be perverts or something :P

The album cover doesn't bother me and I may pick it up later now that I moved out but 1) I wasn't crazy about that album compared to the two I already mentioned and 2) there are far to many better albums out there I'd like to get still.

Have you heard Harley Poe? It's more gothich/folkpunk. It's Joe and the other guy from Calibretto doing music about horror movies. It's definitely not Christian but it's highly entertaining. There's some bad language in "It's Only the End of the World" but it's very humorous.

Their vocals are horrid since the vocalist blew out his vocal chords and can no longer scream like he did on their previous releases, which were actually fairly decent. Their music is very cheesy, overly simplistic (they try to cover up this fact by doing simple sweep picking octaves a lot, which impresses people who aren't very knowledgable about music and music theory--which happens to be the majority of the human population, unfortunately), and attempts to be heavy but fails miserably. Oh, and their music videos are some of the stupidest things I have ever seen. They fit in perfectly with all the rest of the videos that MTV plays.
