Final Fantasy XII delayed to October

Postby Tommy » Fri Jun 09, 2006 2:43 pm

Wow, we have been waiting for this game just as long as "Twilight Princess" and yet this happens...

EBgames and all the RPG fansites say this won't be out until October and now I'm ticked off.

I planned on not purcashing any RPGs but this one this summer, but....

Does anybody have a recommendation for a good RPG playable for the PS2?

Also, do you think they bumped it so they oculd get more money by not having people decide between Dirge of Cerebus and 12 since they were set for the same month?

Could be a move to stop competition with Dirge of Cerberus... or:
<.<
>.>
They want to build up Miyamoto-style hype over added features and stuff. Its all just a plot of ebil sony to further brain wash you!! 0.o
...or they could just be like, making it better and all...
Will insert something intelligent here later... maybe

This is the probable answer. Companies generally don't like to compete with themselves.
Wait. FFXII was originally scheduled for August?
I can't remember.

Go pick up Suikoden V.

If they bumped it back, I would hope they have a good reason. I mean, they probably don't, but we can hope. The confliction with DoC seems to be a plausable reason, though.

As far as a good recommendation, I can't say that there's anything especially great out there right now. I can't say whether Suikoden 5 is worth it or not (I've been afraid to get it after the last 2 letdowns from the series =/ ). I've been playing Magna Carta, but I can't say that it's an amazingly great game. I'd say it's about mediocre.

Hmm I pretty sure the info of Cerberus of 12 being out around Oct/Nov was out for a while. Looked it up some time ago and it was liek that. Don't even remember them saying August^^ Although, different places DO have different supposed dates :/

I played Wild Arms 4 recently. It was a fun game with an interesting battle system and a decent story. I liked the ending, anyways.

It's certainly not ground breaking in anyway, but it was a good diversion for me while waiting for Kingdom Hearts 2 to come out.

Oh, well then. Glad you took my advice. ;)

I didn't have any problems with him, but then I did all of the work requires to synthesize four Sheriffs badges. Man, now that was a lot of work.

What about Kingdom Hearts II? I'm sure that this one is a given... but it's definatly worth checking out. The game is uber addictive, the graphics are amazing and the music is phenominal! Plus.. you get to feel the nostalgia of all those movies we used to watch as kids.. :)
