The last 2 episodes of Honey and Clover are unrelated to the main plot and do not continue the story. The first special episode, released on H&C Region 2 DVD Vol. 5 as Chapter L, covers the story of Lohmeyer/Romaiya-sempai aka Ham-Guy, who appeared early in the manga, but was not featured in the main anime. The second special episode, Chapter F, which will be released on DVD Vol. 7, features Fujiwara Design, the company where Takumi Mayama formerly works at.

Anyone who has seen episode 3 will know what I mean ("All hands back to Kanto! We're calling in backup! The Princess is in a pinch!)

Mangafanatic wrote:Oh, Myrrhlynn, I can't tell you how hard I laughed at that. It was hysterical.
. . . And I want some of those unicorns.
Concerning the show itself, I was slightly disappointed by some changes in character design and atmosphere. This season, from an animation stand point, has more of a Paradise Kiss feel to me than a Honey and Clover feel. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but it still makes me sad. I know a lot of people are recieving the new elements very warmly, saying that the show is more realistic now (One site I read mentioned that Yamada looks much more Asian now and less like a California Girl than she did last season.)

Really, Paradise Kiss? Hummm... can you name a particular scene? Personally I didn't think the animtion was all that different (well I can see how the ending song is very Paradise Kiss-like).
I don't think Yamada can possibly be very Asian looking with blue eyes and red/orange hair. I don't know what those people are talking about.
Mangafanatic wrote:Keep in mind that I couldn't stomache more than three or four episodes of ParaKiss due to the sexuality issues the show had. However, the scene in H&C that caused me to make this comparison was the one in the second episode where hagu is running from Nomiya. The cartoony background and distored path looked a lot like something you'd see in ParaKiss. Plus, (Now, I will admit that I'd need to go back and rewatch the first season of H&C to make sure this is true), it seems that when the creators have a scene in which the characters in H&C II are view from a distance, they just don't look very real. That happened ALOT in ParaKiss, but it was a lot more severe in that show, IMHO. Again, this could all be that I don't remember correctly.
I hope the next episodes gives us a little more Nomiya. Nomiya=<3
And yes, I'd love to see Nomiya and Yamada together. However, I'd (sadly) be very surprised if that actually ended up being the case. I think he's still all about t3h Hagu-chan.
Kawaiikneko wrote:Ah Paradise Kiss... I was getting into that show and then all the sex had to ruin it *sigh* Here's hoping Honey and Clover doesn't take that route.
I'm so excited to watch the third ep! I'm downloading it now, so I'll get back to you on what I think of it. I loved the second episode.
MyrrhLynn wrote:The animation in the second season is definately different from the first one though. I rewatched parts of episodes L and F last night and I finally noticed the difference. This second season seems to have a lot of scenes where the characters become very cartoon looking, then after that scene is over, they go back to the normal look that is what the first season was like. I wonder why they decided to do that.
MyrrhLynn wrote:But WHOA! what is with episode 4?!? Well I don't want to spoil it but holy cow was I suprised (and more then a little disgusted) by what happens.
MyrrhLynn wrote:Oh yes, Mayama = stalker. Actually... doesn't one of the other characters say that in one of the extra episodes??? He would so qualify for a restraining order!
Mangafanatic wrote:Well, there is that once scene where everyone in the company is teasing him, speculating on what he does when he's at Rika's house. Remember, they talk about her towels and bath tub? *Thinks that was probably one of the funniest scenes last season.*
