Why Won't Anyone Reply To My Threads?!

Postby HwaRang777 » Fri Jan 23, 2004 2:20 pm

I'm really mad because no on has replied to any of my threads. I understand that everyone has a life (or at least, I hope so), and some are more older and that some are more popular (due to topic) but not very many people have replied to them. If some one, ANYONE, can reply why not many have replied to them let me know.

P.S. I'm not trying to be a pain or arrogant but there are so many threads that have, like, 1000X more replies than mine:( please reply to this one, and if you have enough pity for me, please check on any of my posts. (especially one on helping me with my books)

Hmm.... Well, look on the bright side. I replied to your thread.^^
If you want to make a succesful thread, why not write a story in the writing forum, or submit some art to the drawing forum? Discuss anime and other things you like. The people here are nice, they're not trying to ignore you. ^^
Just chill, you haven't been here for a long time. In a while, you'll have tons of posts on your threads. Just be patient.

Aww. Don't sweat it too much, my threads sink to the bottom like rocks, but it's nothing to take personally. There's so much activity and turnover here that sometimes a thread will drop so low it doesn't attract attention anymore. And like Kesshin said, no one here is trying to ignore you, we really are nice. :D

Anyway, keep hanging around and keep trying!

ehh.....I remembered replying to your Korean heritage thread. The reason I'm not replying to the one regarding your books is coz I can't really help you. (EDIT: Well, not much at the moment at least) So, do take it easy...There are over 900 members here, we can't pay complete attention to every single one..

Ah....some of my threads drop like bricks too!! *high-fives with Gypsy* "Me too!" And sometimes no one even replies! :P But hey, life goes on and if no one cares about the topic I post, I usually just pout and talk to God instead about my issues. hehe

Cheers

*sigh* Please don't do this; it really comes across as whining. Honestly, I'm usually less inclined to pay attention to people that demand I pay attention to them. There's a little bit of psychology for your novels. With that said...

Some of your threads probably didn't get replies because you asked questions that didn't really apply to the people that read them, so they didn't reply. I'm not Korean, for example, so I'm not going to reply in your thread that says, "Hey, reply if you're Korean." (paraphrased, of course)

I did reply to your novels thread; look there for more insight into why, perhaps, more people were not responding.

Same here...I couldn't really contribute anything meaningful to your threads (as I knew very little about the subjects), so I didn't reply.

Well, you need to find a thread that everybody can get into. I think it's true that some members here are more popular than others, and sometimes you get overlooked, but still, you didn't join to be noticed, did you?

When I join forums I tend to spend a fair bit of time lurking and replying to other people's threads. Once I've gotten a feel for the community I will either leave or start posting threads. It's often quite hard to get to grips with a new community and this strategy usually sees me through.

Yeah!

Trust me, if there were any jerks on this forum, you would know, because they would probably have a black line through their name! :banned: That said, I feel confident that no-one here is ignoring you based on the fact that you might be considered a NewB. Which you aren't, since you've been here for a while now.

Really, the popular people here are the ones who post the most. That said, if you want to become "popular" as you put it, try posting more than '.27 posts per day' as your user info says :thumb:

Frankly I don't usually pay attention to who's done the posting.... I pull up the list of new threads since my last visit and go down and read them based on the subject lines... ocassionally I'll even read the ones with less descriptive titles.

I can think of a few threads of my own that never got any replies, and some that have taken off... it all depends on people's interest and/or mood at the time.

Besides... this site isn't about the most posts or who starts the most threads.
