fav Sonic character?

Been playing a lot of Sonic lately, so wondering, out of the more mainish/popular character, who you're fav is? I'm adding the "other" option to if it's not one I mentioned and possibly not AS popular.

Also going by the games and not the comic/shows and stuff :/ As for me, I don't think I can really pic who an ultimate fav character is^^

I like Sonic and Knuckles almost the same, but since everyone will probably choose Sonic, I choose Knuckles!

I somehow doubt that^^ With all the new and VERY popular characters that were introduced (focusing on Shadow here...) don't remember ol' blue beign as popular since :/ Heh I mean Tails basically knocked him off popularity when Sonic 2 came out^^

Amy... I'm still not all that familiar with Sonic, but she was my favorite character on Sonic Adventure... After her, i'd say tails... Mostly because he can fly...

Personality-Wise: Knuckles.

It's more fun to play as Sonic.

By the way, me being nitpicky.

Metal Sonic and Mecha Sonic are two completely different characters. Metal Sonic possesses a will of his own, and has actually defied Eggman in the past. He first appeared in Sonic CD, and has made sporadic appearances since. He is exceptionally fast and hates Sonic with a passion.

Mecha Sonic is merely a robot version of Sonic. There are actually multiple modles of Mecha Sonic, and all lack Sonic's speed, and none are sentient.

So just thought I'd clear that up. ^^

definatly, beyond all doubt, Fang the Sniper (aka Nack the Weasel). One of the few who's been able to outsmart the freedomfighters on numerous occasions.

He's made a few appearance in the Sonic Comic as well too (where I heard about him first when I used to collect those when little), starting with the Triple Trouble special. He also appears in other titles found in Sonic Gems.

Yeah, Nack appears in *counts* 4 games (not including Gems because that's just a collection) : Sonic and Tails 2 (Triple Trouble), Sonic Dash 2, Sonic the Fighters (rare arcade game, I stuck with the ROM ^^; ), and Tails' Adventure (as an item o_O ). He also appears in comics like Archie and Fleetway... and he has a hot sister in Archie (Nic the Weasel), along with a gang of weasels (3 weasels whos names I can't remember).

Another interesting fact about the weasels is that they're the only Mobians in the Sonicverse that don't have 5 fingers... Weasels always have 4. This fact drives my gf nuts... to her it's a sign of the artists' lazyness in the comics, rather than their trying to add a sense of uniqueness to the weasels.

Heh funny. I was thinking about adding him to the list (being a character that is in EVERY series) but in my mind thinking "he's not a popular character, who'd vote for HIM!" ...luckily I DID add the "other" option.

Still surprised lots voted for Sonic too, actually. Ever since newer characters were introduced, I've thought of him as a "plain" character.

Hmm . . . it is true that Sonic and Tails [and Knuckles, to a bit lesser extent] are plain, compared to the newer characters. I would personally suggest a bit of a character design upgrade ~ maybe an accessory or two [I'd go with a long white scarf for Sonic, a pair of big goggles for Tails, and maybe some new gloves or shades for Knuckles], making the designs a bit more detailed [ala SSBB] or something.

Sonic is the best hands down with Knuckles in second. I'm talking about the classic versions of them though as I think they're all pretty lame now.

They haven't really changed^^ Not in personality, nor art really^^ I quite enjoy their newish art too^^
