You control the ship's direction with the mouse, and you mainly use the mouse for everything, but you can use the a and d keys to strafe left and right respectively, and the s key to slow down your ship. You use primary and secondary weapons with the 2 mouse buttons, and you can boost with space. Those are pretty much the main and basic controls.

The ship is automatically moving forward. You move the mouse up, down, left, or right to turn in those directions, depending on how close the mouse is to the end of the screen.
a and d can be used to strafe, but also for dodging tricks such as the barrel roll.
You shoot your primary weapon with left click, and your secondary with right.
Those are usually bullets (primary) and missles (secondary).
The controls take a bit to get used to, but when you do, the game is really fun. especially during PVP. ^_^
This MMO RPG depends on the users skills, as well as how well built their gear is. You'll need to practice some, especially against the monsters or gears that try their best with tricks, quick thinking, and dodging tactics to get you off their tail.
If you pack on too much armor and weapons for your engine, you'll lose the ability to barrel roll, and/or boost, depending on the severity, plus, you'll run out of fuel twice as fast.
I LOVE the missions in this! They're like quests, only they're sent to you with every level you gain, so you won't have to run around and find the NPC's. The Missions give you ALOT of EXP, so levelling isn't a grind (but levelling is actually fun, anyway).
