Thanks for posting the pics, Chibi_chan and Belldandy! Great MKR pics! MKR was the first CLAMP series I ever watched or read--I can't remember which I got into first, the anime or the manga, but both were pretty early on in my anime fandom. So what was the first CLAMP series everyone else watched or read? What was the series that really got you hooked on CLAMP? For me, that would be CCS!

The first CLAMP series I watched was Cardcaptor Sakura.
The first one I read was Magic Knights Rayearth.
The one that really got me hooked on CLAMP was a mix of all the ones I had read or seen. I loved all of the CLAMP series I got my hands on (CCS, Angelic Layer, MKR) I just then realized I really like them. ^_^

I like Hikaru for being so nice to everyone no matter what as well as having a positive attitude. Umi for just being open, honest and not perfect and all. All three girls have good traits. ^_^

I think I started with MKR, but I've never read the manga, I just watched the anime. Then my daughter, chibi, read through the manga and had her friends and brother read it. They all loved it, so I should probably read it some time. My first CLAMP experience was CCS. I'm the one who had to rent the original Japanese DVD's. After watching a few shows I just had to collect the mangas. So, in a way my first CLAMP love was CCS and MKR.

Here's a cute little chibi pic of Hikaru from Angelic Layer. Who's your favorite doll from that series? I think I like Wizard, but also Hikaru. Also, are you guys watching the anime? Chibi and I just finished watching the third DVD.

Great Hikaru pic, Chloe! Hikaru is my favorite angel in Angelic Layer--I like her design, as well as the spunk and courage she gets from her deus, Misaki. I wish I had my own angel! Hikaru is also my favorite character in MKR, though I can't resist Mokona either.

And yes, I just finished watching the third episode (on the first DVD) of Angelic Layer. It's the one where Hikaru dances with Wizard--I really liked that scene! I really liked the manga, and so far I'm really, really enjoying the anime. This may be a series that I purchase all the way through on DVD!

Me too. I think that's been one of my favorite episodes so far.

I almost bought either angelic layer 1 or one of the cardcaptor sakura mangas. Just looked a little girly foe me though. I would have bought Inuyasha 1 if they had it or the box set with manga 1-2 and the first dvd but I didn't have the money.

All the mangas you mentioned are really good. chibi_chan is your age and she reads all of those mangas. You can't go wrong with CCS or Angelic Layer. They're both good. I prefer CCS, however. Inuyasha I've never read, only watched the anime. Both my kids read Inuyasha.

I thought maybe I would make a list of known Sakura and CLAMP fan club members. I was thinking after a certain number of posts we would have names like, Senior member and Junior member or something like that. What do you guys think? I was thinking of breaking it down, five posts or more and you're a Senior member, anything less and if you've actually asked to join you're a Junior member, and if you've only visited the site I'm not sure. What do you think Spiritsword, and senior members, Belldandy, chibi_chan and Tet-chan? Maybe we should just keep it as is.

I just checked out CCS 1 at my libary today. It was good. But it was pretty beat up. Some pages were out of order. My libary doesn't organize em with the authors though. There in the teen section and I think there the only things worth reading there.

Thanks for tallying up the total posts, Chloe! I'm glad you liked my idea--let's go with it. I just finished watching a volume of Card Captor Sakura--the one where Li gets manipulated by the string and Sakura makes a teddy bear--a very sweet episode--I love the interplay between characters.

Question for Chloe and Chibi, and anyone else who has watched up through volume three of Angelic Layer--is the series worth buying up to that point, and do you think it's worth buying all the way through? I bought the first volume and loved it, but if I buy any more volumes I think I'm going to make the investment to buy the entire series. I was just wondering if those who have seen more of the series than I have think it continues to be excellent up through volume 3.

Spiritsword, I think the series is so G-rated clean it's worth having around, just because chibi sometimes lets her friends watch anime with her, and it's one that she can show her friends. I also, think, so far, it's turning out to be at least, if not better, than the manga. They seem to be going in a slightly, more developed story of why the mom is the way she is. That's the one thing which irked me in the manga, was I got really upset at how the mom abandoned her daughter. But, they may clean that part up a bit, from what I can see, so I won't be too angry - again - at the mom. From what I know of you, I think you'll enjoy it. It has a similar feel to CCS in sweetness. I hope that helps.
