Anime you are helplessly addicted to

Postby rocklobster » Mon Apr 17, 2006 11:07 am

For me:
  • Naruto (Can't help! It's so funny! Darn it! And here I thought Toei milked their anime too much.)
  • Zatch Bell (it reminds me of why I got into cartoons in the first place!)
  • Inuyasha (I can't be the only fan left!)

I've said it once and I'll say it again... have fun with the ending^^ *ish one of those people that thinks bad endings CAN ruin a whole series*

At the moment for me:

- Haibane Renmei (haven't had time to finish my last disk yet but it's only like the best series ever^^)
- One Piece (...need I explain?)
- Utawarerumono (^^ of course I don't even HAVE to explain here!)
- xxxHOLiC (....I'm not sure why but I just really like it^^)

I HAVE gone through with other addicting series, like Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Digimon, etc going waaaay back when... actually most of my "addicting" series, I've ended up buying the DVDs to (if Digimon billingual boxsets DID exist... yeah I'd buy them)

I've been hooked on Shuffle, Full Metal Panic (all three series), RahXephon, Onegai Teacher, Generator Gawl, and Zone of the Enders.

I was hooked on Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar for a while... but I only had 3 episodes when it got licensed... I don't know if I want to buy it now...

Nightwalker: Midnight Detective. It's really not great at all, but I like it. Easy to pop in and chill.

I wouldn't say that I'm addicted to any anime.

I started on subs and then went to dub and I find it on the same level. I'll say that depending on the anime dub, I'll found the sub version ALOT more entertaining on some anime, but since this is one well-done dub, it's something I don't understand why it would be all that more good in Japanese...

Full Moon wo Sagashite. XD I once watched 6 or 7 episodes in one sitting; that series grabs you and does not let go! XD I watched the last two episodes again yesterday (by again, I mean for the 3rd or 4th time  ), and I almost cried. Again. XD It never gets old. *is now working on another fanart, too.*

Utawarerumono is far and away my biggest desire at the moment, in the anime world.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is climbing up there as well. It's leaning toward a fanservicey side, but the sheer insanity of the lead female keeps me amused. The first episode is really misleading though...

Definitely Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece(sub), however, I'm currently hooked on Fruits Basket and DNAngel (manga) (hehehe, the anime are all shonens, but the manga are all shojuos...)

GAH! All of it!!!...My moods are very random usually. One day I'll be as bad as most anime critics, and others I'm like, "OMG!! I'm buy EVERYTHING on this Bestbuy shelf!!!" Well, not really because BB is very infrequent with their stocked items (Burn, I know...*apologies*

Currently I'm hooked on R.O.D. The TV, Fate/Stay Night, and Kaleido Star

The anime that hooked me the most in my lifetime though has to have been Trigun.

I haven't seen any anime in a long time... I really need to start getting some in netflix... I may just have to BUY these yoga DVDs so they won't take up space on my checked out DVDs. At the very least, I need to start USING them... (for stretching purposes to help my back, not for any of the weird spiritual things that usually go with yoga) so I can move on to some anime... I need to pick a new series to start (not a cue for you to tell me all your faves, and let me say this straight out: it won't be a shounen show like One Piece or Naruto)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evcNPfZlrZs Watch this movie なう。 It's legal, free... And it's more than its premise. It's not saying Fast Food is good food. Just watch it.

In no particular order:

~Rurouni Kenshin
~Tsubasa Chronicle
~Naruto
~GateKeepers (My brother bought the Vol. 1 DVD, but it only had the first three
episodes. It was awesome! I wanna watch more...)

I like a jillion others, but those are the ones I'm hooked on right now.

I am pretty much stuck onto the Gokujo Seitokai anime. It happened to replace my Azumanga Daioh addiction after seeing the first three episodes. Very funny and unique in it's own way.

I need to get Fushigi Yugi one of these days. It's on my list of anime to buy.
Actually I do have the Ultimate Fan Guide #3 and the manga #17,comes after Yui is finally saved by Miaka at the end of the anime series.I think Fushigi Yugi,Inuyasha and Escaflowne would make an interesting 1-2-3.Ok,I also want to get FY because I have become a Yui fan, even though I also like Miaka,I think Yui is a bit better, plus she's played in the dub by Wendee Lee!
