Anime Unleashed was G4's anime block, going back to the TechTV days. It was home to some exclusive series like Last Exile, R.O.D. the TV, Crest of the Stars, and RahXephon. Early on it ran 5 nights a week, and was eventually increased to 7. But this past fall, it was cut back to only 1 night a week (with a repeat or 2). And in March, it disappeared from the G4 schedule with little explanation.
As for where it would end up... My guess is that the leading contender would be Comcast's Anime Selects On Demand service, since Comcast (parent company of G4) would still hold the rights to most of the series. But if the licenses could be snagged by someone else, Sci-Fi wouldn't be a bad choice if they showed interest in getting an anime block going. With the new FUNimation block on Colours TV, I could also see some upstart network grabbing some of them.
Hopefully more cable and satellite providers will start adding channels like the Anime Network and FUNimation channel. That would alleviate some of our anime appetite.
Theme Scripture: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)
And a verse for all us single folks:
Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)
