I think I might be able to go to the Maryland convention this year...IF people from around here are going. When is it? Or, when are they, if there are a few? And who's going to them? XD

Yes it is. Kae, MSP, Spiritworlf, SpoonyBard and I met there last year. I don't know about the others, but MSP and I at least are going again. You should definitely come!

XDD this is gonna be my third year! So far Meboeck, Kae, ashfire, Faithfighter, Holysoldier, Spoonybard, spiritwolf, and possibly evilspork will all be going. Linksquest and Peanut MAY be going. (Of course don't forget me ~_^)

Biggest thing is getting a hotel room near the convention center.
At last years show when they announced the dates for this year at closing ceremony the hotels were getting reservations. The Days Inn and The Holiday Inn were the first to go and the Marriot is a little high but I got a room there after I heard the rooms were filling fast.
I hope anyone else that is coming gets a room and prereged before everything is filled.

Yay!!! XD I really hope I can go! Last time...curses! I was IN the stinking Marriot...the weekend of the convention...because my family was driving to Georgia... I saw cosplayers in the lobby and asked what they were doing and they said they were going to a convention, then I later found out that there were CAA people there...>___< AGH!!! Some of my favorite people too! :waah!:

That's right! I've been meaning to get preregistered for forever now. *runs off to register*

I went for the first time last year (If you don't count the four odd hours in '01), it was great fun. You should definitely attend if you get the chance. Especially if people you know are going.

If the girls who are going could get a hotel room together, and we all stayed in the same room and pitched in, it would be easier...but I think it's mostly guys going... :lol:

I'm positive spiritwolf and evilsporkofdoom both are not going to be getting hotels, as they live in MD. As well as meboeck, me, linksquest and peanut. As far as I know only kae and spoonybard got a hotel room. So did like one or two others but I don't remember their names

MSP and I are definitely going. And we are doing our best to get LinksQuest and Peanut to go with us. But you had better watch out because we are like... the four stooges or something. XD

I hope to cosplay, but only if I can do it real cheap. MSP is planning to cosplay too, but I don't think he's decided on a character yet either. And I know MSP is going because he already preregistered. I was having money issues for a little while so I haven't prereged yet. But I am most definitely going.

I'll probably be a half-wolf version of myself. I was considering being a full-wolf (with a mask) but I don't think I will.

It might hinder my ability to have fun meeting everyone. XD

The thing is, I have to pay for my mother and me to drive 8 hours to Maryland, and get a hotel. X__x Good thing I have savings. XD (That's why I was wondering if it's possible to share a room with another girl, and splitting the cost.) Are there parent passes at Otakon, so that the parent can go for a cheaper price?

By the way, which day should I go if I can't get to all three? I hope I can go for the whole weekend but I'm not sure...

If you have to have all this stuff for it payed for and hotels planned beforehand, then count me out.

If you can't go the whole weekend, I'm thinking that Saturday is PROBABLY the best day to come, then. I don't know, I'll ask around to the other people who are going. I know I'll be there the whole weekend.

In general, Saturday is always the best day of a con. Friday is fun because things are still gathering steam, Sunday is sort of the "throwaway" day.

I always liked fridays and saturdays. Fridays being the best as you know the next day will be as good. Sundays are pretty much "throwaway" days like what RedMage said

The one thing about Otakon is that when you pay to get in you pay for three days. They stopped the one day passes because they can only handle so many attendees.
