Naruto cult

Postby Shadowchild » Sat Mar 25, 2006 8:35 am

My friends and I are on this really big Naruto fan frenzy. We've been talking about it a bunch and we have been deciding on what we are gong to do as our group. I cam up with the idea of making our own tribe just the other day and now, everyone is already going to buy the Naruto headbands to wear at school. So far, we have already found a way to get a 5pack of the headbands really cheap off of Ebay. But I'm concerned that the teachers may think we are in a cult or something. Since we're not allowed to wear hats in school, we've decided to wear it around our necks during school. It is fun to mess with the teachers,m but I'm curious to know if we may get into trouble...

You are so lucky to have friends that love anime. I only have one friend that does and we are sorta bashed for it.

I would never do that since I have no interest in wearing a Naruto headband anyway. That would be like walking to school with two metal limbs, platform shoes and a red cape.

(FMA is my favorite Anime)

Yeah, I would wear it around my waist but that is not how my character wears her hitai-ate (headband). I love having my own Naruto character. ^-^

I wish I had some anime friends around here. I probably wouldn't be able to wear it to school since we have uniforms and people will think I lost my mind for putting this chunk of metal around my waist...^_^;
And then for the people that do watch CN in my school will think I'm nerdier than usual.

the headbands aren't as good as they seem. they're quite expensive and it feels sorta awkward when you finally try it on. there are the really cheap headbands that are basically fake but the ones that cosplayers use are usually only for cosplay. if you aren't gonna dress up as a character from naruto for some sort of event or something then you probably shouldn't buy it unless you just want to keep it to show off at your house or something.

Rogie, I was going to comment on you moving it to anime but now that I think of it there was no need for it.

This has to do with an act ShadowChild plans to commit with the headbands not a discussion about the series.
But, you`re the boss and forgive me for questioning your motives.

heh interestingly enough my friend wore a bandana to school all the time and they constantly made him take it off, but this one kid wore a Naruto headband every day and no one said anything.

That is really stupid, Zam.
Really, everyone in my group are overobsessing over Naruto and we are not just getting the hitae-ates to for the heck of it. We are planing to all dress like our characters and stuff for Halloween. We are getting ready for it now though because we will still need to get alot of other things together too. Besides, it is like our little club. ^-^
I hope my dad can help me make a kunai...

That's okay. This is one of those "iffy" moves, but since General gets pretty clogged up, I figured moving it to Anime would give it the right exposure.

Of course, Anime can get clogged up, too, sometimes. Carry on with the discussion.

The probable reason your school doesn't allow headgear like on Naruto may have to do with gangs. If your teachers saw you wear them they probably would think you were starting a new gang.Best thing is to put them some place where they won't be so noticeable during the school hours and then put them on later when class is over and your off campus.
Also you probably should be careful that you aren't mistaken for a gang by someone from an actual gang.

Not to put you down, but there is also the possibility of some "elite otaku" people who download every single fansub they get their hands on going "zoHemGeez Narutards!" or something.

BUT IGNORE THE PEANUT GALLERY! BRACE YOUR OBSESSIONS! Because they will change one day XD You will tire of Naruto, and then you will have different obsessions one day.

Yeah, but this is pretty fun.
We are kindof on strike against the teachers anyways.
Yesterday, half of the cleanup crew quit their jobs because we are tired of them telling us what to do.
We signed up to get paid ten raider bucks a month (wierd pay stuff) and so far we haven't been paid for two months.
The guidance counselor there has been making us stay back behind and clean up every last little speck of dirt before we get back to our class and they make us soo late that the other teachers are getting angry at us.
They've been yelling at us as though we were the ones to make the mess.
Yesterday, they split up trhe lunch to two groups and eventually they told the cleaner side of the group to clean up after the messier side.
I am not going to repeat the exact words that I said about that so I dont break the rules of CAA, but it was not pretty.
I hate guidance couselors.

so, what have you imagined as your Naruto Cosplay Costume? I did mine a couple months ago, it was awesome and cost me like close to $90, not including the cost of buying some shurikan.

Wierd. o.O

I wish I had a bunch of One Piece fan friends at my school. Tis so much better and more fun to do. =D

Unfortunately, most of the anime fans at my school seem to be either goth or gay, so... ._.

I've seen kids put their hitai-ate on their bags, too, looping them through the strap. I personally don't wear either of my hitai-ate around, though I totally understand what you're doing (I'm in my own "tribe" too. ^__^) Good luck and have fun!

I love Naruto. I got one of the really good headbands at this con I went to last year. You could ram your head into a wall wearing it and you wouldn't feel a thing. Most everyone I know calls me a dork when I talk about that.
Come see me on Myspace if you want to and if you want to add me to your buddy list send me a note saying your from CAA otherwise Ill probably just end up ignoring you.

Especially at age 20! My friends call me a Narutard, however, since some of them are now watching Naruto on their own, I don't mind, lol. I absolutely love Naruto and am still watching as the new episodes come out every couple of weeks from Japan!

NEWS UPDATE!

We now have the headbands, thanks to my friend's April Fools joke. She scared the cupcakes out of me saying that they were lost in the mail. T_T That wasn't funny! We finally have them now and we have been wearing them at school. So far, I have already gotten very POed at the policeman assigned to our school because he said we were not allowed to wear them not because he thinks they symbolise something for a gang! My little group of nerdy anime freaks are not a gang! It is a fanclub! I really wished that I had my nail studded 2x4 to whack that upside his head with, unforunately, it is still in the shop from the last rockhead/blockhead school teacher attack. We have found a way! Now we are wearing them on our belt loops. It works rather well, except when the edges are sharp and you cut your finger. T_T It still stings like a papercut. Those teachers will not deny me my hitai-ate! Rebellion! *cacklecackle*
