Those are some great thoughts, Mave. This scripture goes so deep.
I think those verses about the aliens and feeding on the wealth of the nations is probably talking about how Israel will have victory over the nations which were oppressing them like Babylon and Assyria. At least it would make sense in the historical context. Even so, it applies to us as well when God gives us victory on every side and delivers us from oppression... but more appropriately it applies to those who live in countries that are oppressive to Christianity.
It'll definately be a time of peace, love and justice.

I know this comment is a little bit late, but I have been reading through my entire Bible. I have been taking my time (I started... three years ago, I think. I'm in Acts now.) in hopes of gleaning the most possible. I found, like some other people have already said, that there really is life in some of those dusty Old Testament books that can inspire us today.

As far as I know, I think we're going to continue memorizing Isaiah 61. As far as the Leviticus/Numbers thing, a thread has been started for a Numbers study sort of thing. (It's actually more like me reorganizing my Bible College notes)

Well, how's everyone's progress coming along? This thread has been dormant for awhile. I haven't been able to work on Isaiah 61 for awhile cause my memory efforts have been somewhat diverted to other scriptures. This is a really awesome passage, though.

I have experienced the same thing. Another scripture passage would grab me during my devotions and I would get excited and compose it into song and memorize it.
