Panic undoubtably. You got to love the crazy traffic cop in Fumafu

I'll have to go with FMA, but that's only because I haven't seen FMP. I doubt that the latter would beat Alchemist for me, anyway, because I consider it to be the best anime I've seen so far.

The simplest way that I can understand therapy is that we're born a certain way, we're taught to be something different, and we spend our whole lives trying to unravel it and ultimately align ourselves with who we really are. Life, experiences, traumas -- whatever -- they all add up to make you some altered version of what you are. So there's this battle that goes on between what you are and what you become, and it's been very important for me to unravel what I was taught to be or what I became. and to draw a direct parallel to music -- the closer I get back to being who I really am, the stronger the music gets..." --Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins frontman)

I've seen both, and I'm voting: Alchemist.
I'll tell you why:
While both have indepth plots and characters, FMP's plot is a little less deep, and doesn't develop as many characters as FMA does. Plus, FMP has way too much fanservice crap, which DOES ruin anime for me. FMP FUMOFFU was really funny, but FMP was lacking...so FMA all the way!!!

Whoever said FMA doesn't have comedy is seriously mistaken...Ed, Al, Mustang, and Hughes are some of the biggest comedians ever!

-"One day...when I become furer...all female military officers will be required to wear...TINY MINISKIRTS!!!!!" -Mustang
 So...up until recently I thought it was the ERLIC brothers, and I just found out it's the ELRIC brothers...so that explains my totally incompetent username :hits_self

I'm sorry, Tom Dincht, but I voted before I saw that I wasn't supposed to if I hadn't seen both. Sorry! But, if it's any consolation, I don't think FMP would have won if I had seen it anyway. ^_^

Well, I`m sorry KBMaster but because of that mistake we are just going to have to kill you. Heh, Just kidding around you, no hard feelings.

Another note to anyone who said that FMA had no comedy:

The most dramatic scene that made me cry was when Havoc was imagining what Armstrong`s sister looked like. Amrstrong with a dress, that was sooo sad forget about
Hugh`s death.
Oh and when that Butcher communicated with Armstrong through their muscles...so serious.

That was a hilarious episode, when Falmon was ordered to to find Lt. Havoc a girlfriend, and then that mystery of the Haunted Warehouse! Lt. Havoc wasn't the same after Armstrong's sister rejected him, his appearance after that through the whole episode was a certain artstyle of a famous artist, I forget who, lol, but that was funny!

The vote is between Full Metal PANIC! and Full Metal Alchemist.
Full Metal PANIC! did not have hardly any fanservice.

Forget this post. I just looked at the reviews. I guess I just do not remember the fanservice.

Heh, I loved that episode!!! Everyone in the military is hilarious...Hughes, Mustang, Falman, Fuery, Havoc, Breda, Ross, Block, Hawkeye, Armstrong...all of them!!
I loved when, in the second to last episode, Envy was trying to stop Ed from punching him by turning into Mustang, and saying "You don't have the guts to hit me, kid", and then Ed grins and says "I don't think you could have picked an easier target!" and nails Roy (Envy) in the face
I guess it's too late to say this, but just in case. Guys, quit making assumptions that "Even though I've never seen FMP, I still think FMA would of been better". You have never seen FMP/Fomuffu/The Second Raid. Do not make those kinds of assumptions. I was once obsessed with Full Metal Alchemist, and later I also watched Full Metal Panic + Fomuffu + The Second Raid. And I still believe that FMP takes the cake.
