If Oda knew, considering how he treated Toei concering his anime, I think he'd be EXTREMELY PO'd by 4Kids did. They tore his story apart and try to cover the fact it came from Japan in the first place.

I actually wouldn't be surprised. It's one of those series I can see being Foxboxed... not like there's even much to cut out from it or anything either, but ya know, somethign they'd probably do for the kids.

The little creatures in this anime are creepy to me though, lol... I am surprised this is getting liscensed, it didn't seem like that spectacular of a storyline.....
I did like the thing about the one girl lpaying lacrosse thoguh ^_^

Whoooa people calm down! First off, how many of you have actually seen Pretty Cure? I doubt most of you have because you wouldn't be fussing like this otherwise.

If you've ever seen Pretty Cure you'd know that the little fluffy cute characters already have annoying high pitched voices that will drive you insane. The villians are basically Sailor Moon rejects, and the plot is typical uncomplicated magic girl type: girls get magic stones = world is saved

So to be blunt I don't think 4Kids can screw this show up. It's already screwed up. Actually the more I think about it I think this show is right up 4Kids' alley, it's the sort of simple yet sparkley show I think they would excel at. Also I doubt they would do many cuts since this show is geared towards younger audiences so there isn't a lot of bad content to begin with.

Don't get me wrong I like the show (I've seen up to episode 40 I think). There are some very interesting elements to the show, I just have to fast forward through over half of it or else I've felt like I wasted my time.

I did and rolled my eyes at their ironic slogan. :/ It's true in a sense... IF YOU'RE FIVE!!! Even then, I have a feeling 5 year olds would rather watch somethign a little more thrilling. When I was 5 I watched stuff like Jurassic Park which is full of guns, killing, violence etc. etc. and I turned out alright^^ ...cept the fact that I had a thing for dinosaurs back then and I'd always play the part of the dino back then :/

Though, I have seen some other stuff back then that didn't really bother me. The biggest beef I have is taking things that weren't made for that age group and just flat out killing them...


Though, it seems being on Toonami, One Piece is making some very slight improvements (slightly more violence, "covering up" the fact they skipped Little Garden, possible [please] new theme song that may actually be better than that scum of a rap). If they even partially leave in:

...we MIGHT see some improvement (though it's still unforgivable that they won't release uncut DVDs).

If they eliminate all that makes Usop and the rest of the characters cool (For example, I`m sick of Zolo just standing there and when he strikes the screen turns black and we see little white lines representing slashes. Zoro wouldn`t have done that. Obviously Zolo is Zoro`s little pathetic brother).

I took a One Piece personality quiz at Selectsmart and got Nami btw,and when I clicked on to the link where they had the images of the characters I couldn't believe the difference from the 4kids version.
For example Nami was lot sexier looking,Sanji looked tougher and had his cigarette in tact,etc.
