Thanks for the reminder Ben. I have this problem sometimes. We have to remember doing work for his Kingdom is extremely important, but not forget Jesus in the process of doing so. Sometimes it takes a sledghammer to our faith and lives to work this out, but God works for the best, even (especially) if it doesn't feel like it at the time (case in point - my rather upsetting surgery operation last year) ouch!
Good to see your back on the straight and narrow. I'll be praying for you mate.

You're absolutely right. As His creations, our every action is supposed to serve the sole purpose of glorifying God. I think that we often forget that. It's a very important part of living in a Christ-like manner. Many Christians that I know don't usually stop to think on this subject, so I'm glad that you had such a great experience.

The simplest way that I can understand therapy is that we're born a certain way, we're taught to be something different, and we spend our whole lives trying to unravel it and ultimately align ourselves with who we really are. Life, experiences, traumas -- whatever -- they all add up to make you some altered version of what you are. So there's this battle that goes on between what you are and what you become, and it's been very important for me to unravel what I was taught to be or what I became. and to draw a direct parallel to music -- the closer I get back to being who I really am, the stronger the music gets..." --Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins frontman)

Thank you for sharing your experiences!

I try to glorify God every day, but I sometimes forget and take everything for granted. I've also questioned "bad" situations too, but God has a plan for everything.

Thank you for telling us what God has shown you.
