I'm reading the onepiece manga. TD and Myoti!

I started reading the one piece manga because TD and Myoti won't stop bugging me about it! I still like the dub but not nearly as much as the manga..

I actually enjoyed it a lot in the beginning, but I'd have liked the story to focus more on the characters growing, Luffy's crew gaining more recognition, and the adventure/pirate aspect instead of sort of getting stuck into an endless cycle of battles.

I'm not a shounen fan, but if you are, One Piece is definitely one of the best you can pick up, including the original Dragonball series (Not Dragonball Z).

I would recommend DragonBall Z to MJL because his mom JUST let him get One Piece. He knows DB contains nudity.

There IS a good story as it goes along. The first few Arcs (up to Logue Town) are simply setting up the scenario for the rest of the series. Once it reaches the Baroque Works point, however, it gets good FAST.

Yeah the One Peice manga is definately good...I thought that you were saying that I recommended the manga to you Luffy...I'm so used to being called TD (I got it way before Tom Dincht came to the boards.)

Josh, I suggest reading the Little Garden Arc and then skipping to Alabasta since you follow the dub but you can`t miss Little Garden.

The arcs in the dub and manga have the same overall fights and plot but the dub just takes out blood, cussing, and adds in corny jokes so you don`t need to read through the arc you`ve seen in the dub again.

Unless you start at Volume 3, since yu own 1 and 2. i started at Volume 2 since when I started I read your copy of the manga, Josh.

Currently, I am almost up-to-date with OP action.
