Where are you Mommy?

"Where are you mommy?"

I was walking along highway 74
Without any guidance at all
Till I saw that little boy,
Sitting on the railing

He didn't move, never looked at me
He only watched the grass shake
He only watched the clouds move
He did not utter a word

Yet I knew this feeling inside of him
I felt his heart aching
I felt his lonliness
This is what his heart was saying:

Where are you mommy?
I've been waiting so long
I've been sitting since I was put here
And now you left me

I am waiting patiently mommy
But you are never arriving
I hope you have a goodie for me mommy
Cuz that's what you said you'd bring me

Where did you go mommy?
It's getting cold here
I've been waiting so long
So long and more days than I could count

The seasons are changing mommy
It feels like yesterday it was spring
The bunnies were cute mommy
But all I see is snow.

When are you comming back mommy?
I can't wait till you get back
My shoes are getting wet mommy
My feet are getting cold.

My life is slipping away mommy
It's getting too cold
I can't bear this any longer
Please come back mommy.

I stood there, absolutely dazed
At what this little boy said
And as I was realizing this
I was leaving Highway 74

I steadily walked away
And never sought to return
I could never bear to see this child
Want something we all take for granted

I cried for the child
How could one go through such?
Why, of all people
Must it be this child?

I sought to forget this event
But I dont think I ever will
For this child who yearned for a mommy
Never had one to begin with

Wow. T.T
I'm sad now. That's really, really good and really, really touching. And really, really sad. T.T

That's really good, albeit a bit depressing. But that's okay. Sad stuff is great sometimes.

The simplest way that I can understand therapy is that we're born a certain way, we're taught to be something different, and we spend our whole lives trying to unravel it and ultimately align ourselves with who we really are. Life, experiences, traumas -- whatever -- they all add up to make you some altered version of what you are. So there's this battle that goes on between what you are and what you become, and it's been very important for me to unravel what I was taught to be or what I became. and to draw a direct parallel to music -- the closer I get back to being who I really am, the stronger the music gets..." --Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins frontman)

yay! Your best poem yet! Really sad. the one thing... that almost made me laugh is the fact that instead of helping the kid... you run from him. ROFL. but, yes, very sad and very exestential. I liked the diction you chose to make it very chibi-fied and make it child-like. awsomeness!
