Hmmmm. Interesting news. Some of you may have heard this, but this is the first time I've heard of this. Studio Ghibli, the company behind "Castle in the Sky", "Spirited Away" and "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind" plan to release a movie in Japan later this year based on a book by Ursula K Leguin directed by Goro Miyazaki, son of Hayao Mizayaki who directed the above mentioned movies (great to have a father whose the most successful animator in Japan). Gedo Senki (ゲド戦記, "Ged's War History") is the title of a feature film from Studio Ghibli scheduled for release in Japan in July 2006 and U.S. August 7, 2007 It is being directed by Goro Miyazaki, son of Hayao Miyazaki. It will be based on the third book of the Earthsea series: The Farthest Shore by Ursula K. Le Guin. The official English title is "Tales of Earthsea".
