uh... I just uninstalled Norton in order to get AVG cause I was under the impression that AVG was free... apparently it is not. Now I have no virus scan o.o;
Can someone point me to a good, free antivirus program?

Avast is pretty good, I switched to it after RYAN'S Norton crapped out on me.

I use the personal edition classic of Anti-Vir (i know the name isn't very creative), and on average there is an update I can download and install every 2 weeks. The personal edition is free.

I would also recommend Avast personal too. I've used it for a few years and I've had no problems with it. I personally think it works much better than Norton Ant-virus. But I'm sure there are other good free anti-virus software out there.

hm...i find it odd that so many people are recommending Avast. I used that program a couple years ago and rather liked it until it started to give me problems. It was recognizing all sorts of viruses that weren't there(for certain).
Perhaps they've improved on it since then. I'm curious. If it wasn't for college demanding I use all sorts of resource-absorbing crap, i'd be all for trying it again.
