Want to hear Vic Sing?

Postby Mr. SmartyPants » Tue Jan 17, 2006 5:44 pm

Yup, Vic as Edward Elric, singing "Brothers" from FMA. (It's a song if you didn't know)

Check it out!

I think he sounds a lot like Michael W. Smith, don't you?

Dude... you don't understand. This is GOOD. I was skeptical at first too, but I really like the song. You do know he is worship leader at his church? Therefore he sings.

I know, I was referring to something completely different. XD

I'm checking it, it's just takes awhile to hear on my compy. I'm positive it sounds good, as Vic is a GREAT VA, compared to those 4Kids employs. Understand now? :3

I totally agree with you there, sure his voice sounds like he's 17, which is why he was good to fit the role of Ed, but it's a pretty good voice!

Check out his website. He's very musically oriented, as he leads worship at his church, has produced some CDs, and has also written music for tv and commercials :-)

Please don't hurt me, but I have to voice my opinion...

Vic has a very nasaly singing voice... He can hit the notes, but it just comes of so....so....monotone... I found that with his part as Ed-o. He has very little passion/emotion in his voice overs and, apparently, his singing...

I thought it was good. I've heard better singers, but he did a good job! And I love that song! The tune especially!! Its so beautiful!

Aw, what a beautiful song! I really like his singing voice ^^ It does kinda remind me of Michael W., or Mark Shultz.

I gotta see this. How old is this guy anyways? He sounds like 17.

I met him. He's probably about 35.

I LOVE THIS SONG!!! *dies* WOW! HE'S AWESOME!!!
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

Hmm... I'm normally against translating songs in Anime because translating text in a book is one level of loss, translating to fit lips is another, and translating to fit lips AND rhyme schemes is a third level of loss... Too much for me... Still, he's not a bad singer... Reminds me of a certain Christian Singer I can't think of... Either SCC or MWS, I always get them confused...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evcNPfZlrZs Watch this movie なう。 It's legal, free... And it's more than its premise. It's not saying Fast Food is good food. Just watch it.

Actually, I kinda agree with you. I find the song GOOD, though it sounds a bit odd at the same time.

I enjoyed this version of the song. I've actually wanted to hear it for some time.

I actually just finished an AMV with it. They're quite easy when the song is made for the series. ^_^

Well, just call me Simon Cowel.... Aside from Myoti, I think I'm the only one who who doesn't drool over him...

lol

I couldn't resist... I just finished watching the American Idol tryouts... :P

But to add to what Myoti said...

It was a great song, but it all boils down to the passion. He has a flat voice, and there is no two ways around it... He's on tune, he can hit the notes, but he can't make me feel it.
Yes. I know.
