I got Madden NFL 06 for PS2. My roommate has the Xbox version. I like everything on the new Madden except that new passing game control. I haven't gotten the hang of it yet.

I also got WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2006 for PS2. It is, by far, the best wrestling game I've ever played. Almost 60 WWE Superstars and Legends, Superstar voice-over during season mode (I'm currently using John Cena but I plan on using all of them), the new General Manager mode, PPV mode, create your own championships (the things that made me love the N64 WWF games) and it's got the Elimination Chamber. (This is my first PS2 WWE game.) The only downside is that you have to have a PSP and the PSP version of the game to unlock Jake Roberts on the PS2 version. Other than that, I think it's the best WWE game ever.

From my parents I got: Dragon Quest VIII (I like most of the voices. I have a thing for British accents. lol The game is good so far, but I don't have anyway to bring any of my ko'ed party members back yet without going to the church and having them resurrected....my people tend to get killed a lot. ^^; Most of the bosses usually defeat me at least once too. I like the story so far.)

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for my DS ( I like this game too. I'm on the last case right now. Some parts of this game were quite amusing.)

From one of my friends: Star Wars ep. III for PS2 ( Some of the bosses are pretty hard...at least I thought Count Dooku was hard. ^^; I honestly haven't played a lot of this game, but it seems okay for a movie game. ^^)

Castlevania: Curse of Darkness for the PS2 (I haven't really played a lot of this game either. I've made it to the 2nd boss....who pretty quickly lay a royal beating upon me. I like most of the voices and it seems okay so far. A lot of the areas look the same though and I have to keep checking the map so I don't get turned around. I also really like the box art. I've loved the box art for most of the Castlevania games except for the Nintendo DS one.)

This kinda counts (since I got money for it from Christmas), but I picked up "Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time" today.

It's got the basics of the first one, but with more button action in your moves. Also, the Bros. Attacks have been replaced with Bros. Items, which work similarly to them (but no Bros. Points is required this time).

Fun fun fun. :D

Well, I didn't directly receive any games for Christmas, but I did get a $50 EBGames gift card, which I used to buy the following:

Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (Xbox)
Spider-Man 2 (Xbox)
Jak 2 (PS2)
Devil May Cry (PS2)
Final Fantasy X (PS2)

$50 goes a long way with older games. I can't help but buy really awesome games when they first come out for the full price. Such as in the past couple months Dead or Alive 4, Resident Evil 4, Shadow of the Collossus. But it's always nice to walk in and get an awesome game from 2-3 years ago for like $15.

My friend got me Icewind Dale and KOTOR. Old perhaps, but I play games so seldom and I always wanted to try them.

Well those would be two good games to get. They'll last ya a good long while. I had no less than 60 hours on my first KOTOR save file. Icewind Dale I've only played some. But I own Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 so it's in the same league as those.

Indeed. I used to buy games when they were just released, but now I pretty much only buy the older ones. Don't get me wrong, I'm still drooling over DOA4, RE4, and Shadow of the Colossus. I can't really afford them though. Perhaps it's because I spend my money on other stuff. I'm pretty happy if I can buy 5 games for the price of 1 though. :)

So is me.

Unfortunately every local Ebgames for me doesn`t sell PS1 games anymore because they`re making way for the NEXT GENERATION SYSTEMS.

Just like when they got rid of Genesis and SNES catridges, 64 and PS1 are dispapearing as well.

Sadly, it`s out with the "Classics" in with the "Graphic-Show-Off ers".

That's how it is here now too. EB doesn't have any of the nintendo system's games older than GC, and they only have a few PS1 games, if any. Gamestop is better to have more PS1 games, but they still don't have the older ones. Rhino games is the only place I've been able to find any of the older games, they've got everything back to the NES and maybe a fwe Genesis games as well.

My EB still has some PS1/N64/DC games, although they're almost all used.

I saw some people buy an n64 yesterday when I picked up Wild ARMs Alter code: F.
They warned them they didn`t sell n64 games anymore.

I could`ve told them about that Harvest Moon 64 copy they had.

Let`s not stray off topic. I do not want people to respond to my thread again unless someone shares what they got for Christmas.
